“Idyllic” If peace and tranquillity is what you want then The Old Kiln is what you are looking for. Beautiful place with the stream alongside watching the wildlife (birds and squirrels), what more could you wish for!!. The Cottage was first class, very clean and comfortable. Sue made us very welcome. Sue's homemade jam is very tasty, bought 4 jars to take home with us.
We will definitely return.
An amazing stay at the Old Kiln with a stream flowing along it. Very beutiful local walks with waterfalls. …
7 bedroom luxury cottage with heated pool in wales
Excellent weekend break
The house was fantastic there were 12 of us staying and a baby, there was plenty of space for everyone didn’t feel like you were on top of each other.
The views of the valley were amazing even in the drizzle, Property was clean and tidy pool was surprisingly warm even in late September and the hot tub was a firm favourite with everyone.
We didn’t see or hear from the owners but Simon was very helpful when I had questions during the booking process.
Would definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday …
I Hope the title says it all. . . . . But anyway. . . . . Stayed there with my wife, two boys aged 21 & 17, the dog and the mother in law. Yes the mother in law! last week and I honestly have to say that it was one of the best holidays we have ever had.
The converted barn is very much smack in the middle of the countryside and surrounded by sheep.
Very large and cosy and extremely well presented. Outdoor Heated Swimming Pool, Hot Tub in Cabin overlooking the Mountains & Countryside, Games Room with Full Size Pool Table, TV Room, Air Hockey, Wood Burner, Childrens XBOX Room, BBQ, Patio Areas, Kitchen with all Mod-Cons, 4 Huge Double Bedrooms, Twin Bedrooms etc, etc, etc. . . . . . Despite being in the middle of nowhere, the surrounding towns and amenities are only a short drive away (or longer if you want to go further a field.
We only travelled on two separate days and visited, Port Meirion, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Caernafon, Dolgellau, Aberystwith, Aberdyfi, Barmouth and Borth (Borth is a dreadful place by the way)
That left five days of bliss in the barn.
There are two large guest books (one of which is completely full) and there is not one single negative review! We have obviously added to that list.
It is also so spacious that you can keep out each others way long before you feel the need arises to strangle someone.
Do yourselves a favour and book a week here. …
Fronlwyd Traditional Welsh Longhouse Group Letting
This is our second stay here but the first review. We stayed for a few days after Christmas in the lovely rustic cottage, complete with exposed beams & floorboards in the bedrooms and enoromous original flagstones in the large entrance hall with plenty of space for drying boots and coats after an afternoon walking. There's a nice big lounge for the cold evenings too.
Our kids are 2 and 4 and had a ball running around the gardens and in the woods next to the house - there's no traffic so its competely safe.
There are great views across to Pen Rhiw-myn from the house and back garden - the stars & mliky way are amazing on a clear night too. It's a great spot for exploring Snowdonia national park with walks and bridleways running from the front door, and good value. We'll definately stay again. …
