“Wow what a fantastic holiday” Anne ,Chris & Riley were very welcoming and friendly. They were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the island and the information they provided was very useful. The house has everything and more for what you require and the real fire is so welcoming. Views were amazing especially looking down to the bridge and river.We would love to return in the spring when you have longer hours of sunlight because when it gets dark it really gets dark. However the dark nights are also a bonus as we did not know there were so many stars in the sky.

“Superb” Our stay here at The ard holiday cottage was excellent. Perfect for our honeymoon to chill, relax, take in all the scenery. A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The whirlpool bath was cool, and the aga stove burning away added a special warmth to our stay. A great welcome from Norma. It was just perfect for our stay on Great Bernera. Bosta beach just over the hill was stunning as were the Golden Eagles overhead. We will certainly be back! Cheers Donna & Alan ;0)

“A comfy, well equipped and cosy house in a stunning location” We were delighted with our stay at atlantic View cottage on Bernera. The cottage is immaculate inside and has everything you could possibly need for your stay including thoughtful extras like hairdryer, local maps and guidebooks and Dvds and books tailored to the ages of our kids. The view from the cottage are lovely and we spend an idyllic week trying to catch fish, cycling and walking around the island and the rest of Lewis. Anne was extremely helpful and was happy for our kids to explore her croft land as they wanted. The beds are super comfy, the rooms spacious and really tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and the wood burner in the living room is great for when its cold and wet outside. I would highly recommend this cottage and look forward to returning in the future.

“Refreshing Break” Enjoyed a most welcome couple of days ( sadly all I could manage ) at Manish Cottage. It is lovely little cottage, clean, compact and comfortable. Beautiful, isolated location by the sea - perfect for my purposes - restful, relaxing and dog friendly.

“Enjoyable stay at Eranca Cottage” We received a warm and generous welcome from the hosts when we arrived. The house is spotlessly clean, warm and well appointed. We found everything we needed for cooking and dining, the shower and jacuzzi bath were excellent and the double bed was extremely comfortable. There’s a lovely decked area leading out to a fabulous view over the Loch and distant hills. Many of the important historical sites are nearby, as is the fantastic Uig beaches and Valtos peninsula which should not be missed. I’m sure we will return one day. “Bliss” Lovely accommodation, clean, modern, cosy, everything we could want. We loved the wee toiletries on arrival, a lovely extra. Great to know owners available if we needed anything. Tarbert is central for going anywhere,both Lewis or Harris.The beaches are a close drive and absolutely stunning.We will definitely go back. A gorgeous place to stay on a beautiful island. Good for the soul!

“Perfect Cottage in beautiful surrounding” Harsgier View is an ideal cottage for both exploration of the Isle of Lewis or simply for relaxing in total peace and tranquility. The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped. Although rated a 4 star cottage the modern interior and spotless presentation make it feel like a 5 star. The cottage offers exceptional value for money and my family and I have enjoyed two wonderful holidays there.

“Blissful tranquility and scenery” Gorgeous setting overlooking a rugged bay full of seals. Peace and quiet on tap - a laid back approach is essential to enjoy Harris. We had great weather and that helps. But the cottage is very comfy and kicking back to read, listen to music and stare at the ever changing scenery - tides in and out, counting the seals, occasional eagle, heron, otter etc and wonderful light - would not be a hardship if the weather did close in. Not much out there but enjoyed food at Rodel Hotel and the anchorage. Also Butty Bus a must! Watch out - CoOp shut on Sundays.

“outstanding” we stayed at this beautiful cottage for seven weeks and left on the 19th Dec 2012 I am sitting writing this review and missing it very much...hope to go back this year..Cameron is easy to contact and is very nice...The cottage was home to me and my husband angus our Dog and Mr Tomm our cat...I spent a lot of time walking and coming back to the cottage and sitting in the Winter sun on the decking...then around 4 lighting the log burner in the lounge.. and cooking amazing meals as the cottage has everything you would have in your own kitchen at home..If you want somewhere outstanding then book this cottage...

“Ideal location, perfect cottage for 2 people” The location is second to none - short walk across the dunes to the world famous Luskentyre beach. The house is light, warm, comfortable and spacious for 2. We'll definitely come again! In terms of improvements - the kitchenware is somewhat lacking - next time we'll bring a decent frying pan, some scissors and a sharp knife! Would also advise that tap washers are replaced. At least one can't be fully turned off.

“Cosy comfortable Seascape Cottage” Loved the cottage and the tasteful decor in a nautical theme. Modern appliances, plenty dishes, cutlery, glasses etc. Comfortable beds, lots of seating and good heating. Stunning views, so peaceful and quiet but only ten minutes drive into Stornoway. Weather was so nice, we even managed to eat out at picnic table in front garden. Would love to return.

“All you could need” This has proved to be a great choice of place to stay, the chalet has everything you could need is very comfortable and warm. A great base to explore the isle and all that it has to offer. We had a great welcome from Joan the owner of the cabin who gave us good advise regards the sights and places to see. We have never had such a chilled holiday and I can not recommend a stay in this chalet enough.

“Perfect home from home for the family” Really enjoyed our week staying in the cottage. The location is 10/10. We found the house fully equipped with everything needed for our stay. Comfortable, warm, welcoming, and the view is just superb. The location is the perfect place in Lewis to be based to explore the island and the local shop is a short drive ( 10min) is well stocked with lots of essentials. Our favourite time was sitting on the porch swing in the evening peacefully watching the trout jump out the loch for their dinner while the neighbourhood Robin sang us a song. Good phone and internet reception ( for the young ones) The only fault I could say is for some people the spiral stairs could be difficult to climb. My husband, my dog and I can’t wait to return to relax and enjoy sitting by the log fire & taking in the perfect view.

“fabulous place” We had a wonderful week here. The place is very comfy with all the facilities you need to enjoy your stay. Good kitchen. Making cooking easy, great games room, keeping the teens happy and the views were amazing. Being able to get right down to the water was great. We saw deer, otters and loads of birds from the house. Highly recommended.

“Very close to perfect” This is a warm, comfortable house in a fine position on one of the most beautiful islands in the world. It was equipped with everything you could possibly want and then some and we didn't really want to leave.
