“Perfect home from home for the family” Really enjoyed our week staying in the cottage. The location is 10/10. We found the house fully equipped with everything needed for our stay. Comfortable, warm, welcoming, and the view is just superb. The location is the perfect place in Lewis to be based to explore the island and the local shop is a short drive ( 10min) is well stocked with lots of essentials. Our favourite time was sitting on the porch swing in the evening peacefully watching the trout jump out the loch for their dinner while the neighbourhood Robin sang us a song. Good phone and internet reception ( for the young ones) The only fault I could say is for some people the spiral stairs could be difficult to climb. My husband, my dog and I can’t wait to return to relax and enjoy sitting by the log fire & taking in the perfect view.

“Lovely week in Harris & Lewis!” Many thanks Donalda for helping to make our week in the Isles of Harris & Lewis so memorable. The upgrade to your other property Clisham Croft was perfect for us. The facilities were great and the views from the lounge were absolutely amazing! It didn't rain all the time and we even had sun occasionally... A great central location helped logistically and your shop attached to the petrol station was also very useful. A great week was had by all of us, including our friends' dog. A lovely experience and thank you very much.

“fabulous place” We had a wonderful week here. The place is very comfy with all the facilities you need to enjoy your stay. Good kitchen. Making cooking easy, great games room, keeping the teens happy and the views were amazing. Being able to get right down to the water was great. We saw deer, otters and loads of birds from the house. Highly recommended.

“Bliss” Lovely accommodation, clean, modern, cosy, everything we could want. We loved the wee toiletries on arrival, a lovely extra. Great to know owners available if we needed anything. Tarbert is central for going anywhere,both Lewis or Harris.The beaches are a close drive and absolutely stunning.We will definitely go back. A gorgeous place to stay on a beautiful island. Good for the soul!

“Blissful tranquility and scenery” Gorgeous setting overlooking a rugged bay full of seals. Peace and quiet on tap - a laid back approach is essential to enjoy Harris. We had great weather and that helps. But the cottage is very comfy and kicking back to read, listen to music and stare at the ever changing scenery - tides in and out, counting the seals, occasional eagle, heron, otter etc and wonderful light - would not be a hardship if the weather did close in. Not much out there but enjoyed food at Rodel Hotel and the anchorage. Also Butty Bus a must! Watch out - CoOp shut on Sundays.

“Wow what a fantastic holiday” Anne ,Chris & Riley were very welcoming and friendly. They were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the island and the information they provided was very useful. The house has everything and more for what you require and the real fire is so welcoming. Views were amazing especially looking down to the bridge and river.We would love to return in the spring when you have longer hours of sunlight because when it gets dark it really gets dark. However the dark nights are also a bonus as we did not know there were so many stars in the sky.

“Refreshing Break” Enjoyed a most welcome couple of days ( sadly all I could manage ) at Manish Cottage. It is lovely little cottage, clean, compact and comfortable. Beautiful, isolated location by the sea - perfect for my purposes - restful, relaxing and dog friendly.

“A comfy, well equipped and cosy house in a stunning location” We were delighted with our stay at atlantic View cottage on Bernera. The cottage is immaculate inside and has everything you could possibly need for your stay including thoughtful extras like hairdryer, local maps and guidebooks and Dvds and books tailored to the ages of our kids. The view from the cottage are lovely and we spend an idyllic week trying to catch fish, cycling and walking around the island and the rest of Lewis. Anne was extremely helpful and was happy for our kids to explore her croft land as they wanted. The beds are super comfy, the rooms spacious and really tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and the wood burner in the living room is great for when its cold and wet outside. I would highly recommend this cottage and look forward to returning in the future.

“outstanding” we stayed at this beautiful cottage for seven weeks and left on the 19th Dec 2012 I am sitting writing this review and missing it very much...hope to go back this year..Cameron is easy to contact and is very nice...The cottage was home to me and my husband angus our Dog and Mr Tomm our cat...I spent a lot of time walking and coming back to the cottage and sitting in the Winter sun on the decking...then around 4 lighting the log burner in the lounge.. and cooking amazing meals as the cottage has everything you would have in your own kitchen at home..If you want somewhere outstanding then book this cottage...
