“Blissful tranquility and scenery” Gorgeous setting overlooking a rugged bay full of seals. Peace and quiet on tap - a laid back approach is essential to enjoy Harris. We had great weather and that helps. But the cottage is very comfy and kicking back to read, listen to music and stare at the ever changing scenery - tides in and out, counting the seals, occasional eagle, heron, otter etc and wonderful light - would not be a hardship if the weather did close in. Not much out there but enjoyed food at Rodel Hotel and the anchorage. Also Butty Bus a must! Watch out - CoOp shut on Sundays.

“Wow what a fantastic holiday” Anne ,Chris & Riley were very welcoming and friendly. They were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the island and the information they provided was very useful. The house has everything and more for what you require and the real fire is so welcoming. Views were amazing especially looking down to the bridge and river.We would love to return in the spring when you have longer hours of sunlight because when it gets dark it really gets dark. However the dark nights are also a bonus as we did not know there were so many stars in the sky.

“Refreshing Break” Enjoyed a most welcome couple of days ( sadly all I could manage ) at Manish Cottage. It is lovely little cottage, clean, compact and comfortable. Beautiful, isolated location by the sea - perfect for my purposes - restful, relaxing and dog friendly.

“A comfy, well equipped and cosy house in a stunning location” We were delighted with our stay at atlantic View cottage on Bernera. The cottage is immaculate inside and has everything you could possibly need for your stay including thoughtful extras like hairdryer, local maps and guidebooks and Dvds and books tailored to the ages of our kids. The view from the cottage are lovely and we spend an idyllic week trying to catch fish, cycling and walking around the island and the rest of Lewis. Anne was extremely helpful and was happy for our kids to explore her croft land as they wanted. The beds are super comfy, the rooms spacious and really tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and the wood burner in the living room is great for when its cold and wet outside. I would highly recommend this cottage and look forward to returning in the future.
