“Pond view cottage” We stayed in this lovely cottage in August. It has beautiful views being located on the edge of Hathersage village. It is very peaceful and has the bonus of having friendly and helpful staff on the adjoining trout farm. It is ideally positioned to visit all the wonderful walks and places of interest in the peaks. There are some great walks right on the doorstep too! Bal and James , the owners, were very helpful ( even though they were on their holiday too!) when we needed some advice. We definitely recommend this cottage .

“Excellent little retreat” An amazing cottage with an amazing host, only complaint would be the main road. The breakfast package was so thoughtful and more than sufficient to keep us happy! Helen is so thoughtful with the little details and made our stay really enjoyable.

“Christmas in the 'High Peaks'” When we arrived snow was very deep and we were unable to get our car up the lane that lead to the farm and cottage. We needn't have worried, the owners; John and Sally where there to help us; taking us up to the cottage in their four wheel drive. If that wasn't enough Sally even went out of her way and brought our food supply's from the village some miles away. Just like 'Sykes Cottages', Sally and John were so helpful, we were warm and content and above al; felt entirely safe. A huge thanks to 'Sykes' for making it possible through their friendly Staff, and to John and Sally for making it such a memorable Christmas. Many Thanks. D. Read.
