“Perfect and tranquil.” This house lived up to the fantastic photos and more. We have friends on the island so knew our way around but wanted to experience some winter isolation with other family members new to the island. It broke all expectations in a fantastic way. The open plan living is fantastic for watching wildlife and the weather and we spent hours doing it. If you love wildlife and peace and tranquility then this is the place for you. Just glorious.

“Fabulous Holiday” Just home after a wonderful holiday in Fisherman’s Cottage. Alasdair and Irene welcomed us to their lovely cottage which is well situated for touring Harris and Lewis. The bowlful of muscles and a bottle of wine were a lovely touch. The cottage was spotless with views over the Loch to Seaforth Island. The kitchen had everything we needed, all appliances were new and in good working order. Our weather was exceptional but there was a log burner and central heating if we had needed it. We would stay in this cottage again, hopefully next year.

“Comfortable and well located” Comfortable accommodation with an attractive lochside view. We used it as a base for touring Harris. The accommodation had everything we required and benefits from being located adjacent to a licensed grocery, so no need to head into Tarbet for food and wine. Would recommend.

“Beautiful cosy cottage with spectacular views” A beautiful, cosy cottage in an idyllic spot with amazing views of the sea loch and mountains. Clean air, peace and quiet and wildlife. After a recent refurbishment the property is immaculate and the addition of underfloor heating makes it all the more comfortable. We always receive a warm welcome - this is our 5th visit and we are looking to next time already! Thank you for a lovely week.

“Don’t hesitate, you’ll love it.” Lovely house in a beautiful setting. We dragged ourselves away from this one. View of loch is magical. Sightings everyday of porpoise, seals, terns, otters, etc. We swam in the clear waters of the loch everyday. The house is great, all nicely done, comfy and homely.

“Fantastic holiday” Myself and my family (6 adults) stayed in the lodge for a long weekend in september. We all loved it. The lodge catered for all our needs and the game room helped provide entertainment when we came back from our activities around Skye. Its in a great location with a mass amount of walks near by and portree is only a short distance away for a good pint. The views from the livingroom and master bedroom are amazing and the cuddle chair makes for a romantic night watching the stars and water. We will all be coming back for a holiday next year!

“perfect cottage” We had a wonderful stay (14 days) with three kids and a small dog. The cottage is well furnished, has got a good room layout, comfy beds, the luxury of a bathroom and a shower room and a well equipped spacious kitchen.We could not think of anything missing. Everything was very clean. The cows were much loved by our kids. On our last stay on Lewis we had accommodation far off a mayor road, this was a good contrast as Stornoway is well located for various explorations.

“Did what it said on the tin!” Apart from the driving rain - it was warm rain! The cottage was excellent, clean and warm without the need for the fire ( we lit it one night for effect!). The cottage was well equipped ( we were not found short of any kitchen item) and very comfortable (slept like a log). Would have liked to be able to shave in the master bathroom without holding up the mirror - a problem easily remedied. Managed to connect to the wireless broad-band ( to keep an eye on the weather coming our way). Would we go back? Certainly yes - but for longer, a week was not enough. Remember to take binoculars so you can keep an eye on the otters and herons that frequented to shore below the house. Ps - builder could clear up a bit!!! Big thanks to all involved.

“Excellent and well equipped cottage in perfect setting.” The cottage in in an excellent location for exploring the island. It is very well equipped and furnished to a high standard. Well stocked with all essentials and the home baked cake and own hen eggs was a nice personal touch. Eleanor welcomed us on arrival and provided contact details also a nice personal touch. I would highly recommend this house and will hope to visit again.

“Covid restrictions stopped planned visit - handled well by expert host” Booked this wonderful cottage before the Covid 19 lockdown. Unfortunately our stay would have been during the Government restricted lockdown period. Anne the host was marvellous she replied immediately to my query and a full refund was given within the hour. Can't wait to re book and visit in 2021 (fingers crossed), more so now knowing with confidence that the host responds quickly to any problems that may arise. Accomodation is reasonably priced and looks wonderful.

“Home from home but with a great view.” The house is very well equipped and maintained in all aspects and spotlessly clean. There are lovely views from all the windows. It is very convenient for the town but beware of the uphill walk home! We loved Tobermory, there are plenty of good places to eat, and lots of walks and wildlife to enjoy.

“A wonderfull place” This is our 7th visit to Mull, with its peace, tranquility and wonderfull wildlife. This is our 5th time we have stayed in Tobormory and thouroughly enjoyed our stay this year in Aisling Cottage. The cottage was well appointed, comforatable and we wanted for nothing, everything was catered for. To wake up each day to the wonderfull view, was the icing on the cake. Hope we can return again.
