“We were so impressed on our first visit that we had to return.” Mayar Bhan enjoys an outstanding location overlooking Gruinard Bay with views from the lounge window over 30 miles to Suilvan and way beyond to the mighty hills of the far North West. Closer to hand is An Teallach which is easily within cycling and walking distance. For the less energetic, or if the weather is inclement, there are numerous coastal and low level walks in the Glens; not forgetting the World Famous Inverewe Gardens which are open all year. Mayar Bhan is an extremely well appointed house which is warm and comfortable whatever the weather. It is immaculately clean and fresh and everything works and performs just as it should. However it is the attention to small details which I found impressive: for example there are a pair of insulated gauntlets provided to facilitate loading the woodstove; there is a customised 1:50,000 Ordnance Survey Map for guest use; and last but by no means least a drawer with board games and jigsaws to keep everyone entertained.
