“Great location, accommodation and super host” The accommodation was perfect for our party of 3. We were greeted with some essential groceries which saved us a trip to the nearby Tesco Express... Thanks for this :-). We stayed 3 nights and found the apt to be warm and quiet. The location is great being easy walking distance to all local attractions.

“Great stay” We loved our stay! Ronnie was so helpful. He allowed us to check in early due to the arrival of our flight early in the morning. He met us at the house and made us feel so welcome. The house was spacious and comfortable with everything we could need. Would love to visit again!

“A very central and comfortable apartment with views of the castle” We travelled to Edinburgh on an early morning flight so arrived at the apartment late morning. Kitty, the owner, had kindly said we could check in early which was very helpful, and she met us there and explained how everything in the apartment worked and gave us tips on what to do to enjoy our stay. The apartment was beautifully furnished, with fresh flowers in the living room and thick bath sheets in the bathroom. Although we ate out on each of the 3 nights we were there, we noticed that the kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal, including a weighing machine, measuring jugs and plenty of pots and pans. The bedroom was very quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. We had a fantastic choice of restaurants, many of them with gluten free dishes highlighted on the menu, which was useful for me as I have Coeliac Disease. Our favourite restaurant was Divino's, and we also enjoyed Vittoria on the Bridge, the cheaper restaurant upstairs. We were able to walk everywhere which we enjoyed. A highlight was walking to Leith and going on board the Royal Yacht Britannia. (The onboard café also had a gluten free menu which is not mentioned on the website.) Our flight home left in the evening, so once again Kitty helpfully allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment until just before the new guests were due to arrive. We spent the last few hours of our stay looking round the Scottish National Gallery where, for £4, we were able to leave our suitcases in a locker. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we hope to return some time.

“Incredible stay - won't pass on a second stay” The service I received at City Retreat in Edinburgh was exceptional. We arrived to be greeted by a member of staff who waited for our arrival, just to show us around, to make us comfortable with the apartment. The young man was very pleasant and assured us that he was only a phone-call away if we needed him. The home was beautiful, very clean and exceptionally tidy - just what you'd expect from an appart-hotel like this. It was very easy to find and as mentioned before, the welcome was greatly appreciated. All the services in the apartment were easy to use, the TV, the cooker, the showers etc. The WiFi was great and this helped us to plan more of our trip to Edinburgh. There are some nice bars nearby and it is literally a stone's throw from the Scottish Parliament building. I really enjoyed the comfort and relaxation that this place offers. I would definitely come back here in the future.

“A team reunion in Edinburgh” 10 of us stayed the weekend at No. 32. During the planning stages, the owners were informative and receptive to our needs. The planning for our arrival was flexible and meticulous. A lovely property, with welcoming touches, in a well located area of Edinburgh.
