“Lovely Location” Little Venice is close to Paddington Station but hidden away from the hustle and bustle. The apartment was well equipped, beautifully decorated and with a very friendly and helpful owner. We enjoyed our stay very much.

“Fabulous apartment, clean, tidy and with everything you need -great location” On the first floor with views of Covent Garden streets - right in the middle of many restaurants, friendly pubs, shops and transport. So close to many of London attractions. We had fabulous stay after being met by our host who gave us a full run briefing of the flat and the Covent Garden area. Really appreciated the hot bath and a comfortable queen size bed after a long flight from Australia. The flat was very cleanand well presented with a very well equipped and stocked kitchen. Excellent wifi connection. We would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to explore London while experiencing some local culture.

“Perfect” First visit to London and it won't be our last! Bankside Apartment is the perfect location for a stay in London. So conveniently located within minutes walk of everything that you could possibly need for a stay in London. Metro, buses, tourist attractions, centre of London, the best pubs, we cannot speak highly enough of the location. The apartment is very comfortable, wi fi made it possible for us to communicate with teenagers left at home, and for keeping in touch with Steve's work, fully equipped kitchen to cater for coffee whims or eating in. With the Borough market, pubs and an excellent Indian restaurant all just minutes from the apartment all of our needs were met! Comfy bed, great shower, warm and cozy - perfect. David and Ida made us feel so welcome and the personal touches (orientating us to the area, having our first pint with David, dropping us to the Eurostar) all made our trip memorable. Thanks David and Ida - we loved London and staying at your apartment. Will definitely be back!!! Cheers!

“Great accomodation for small family or few friends in Chelsea /West London.” The location is excellent, Thames River is on the doorstep! This is a very good small family-friendly condo. The owner Richard was excellent to deal with. He made outstanding recommendations for restaurants, and arranged tickets for us to see an top tier EPL game. The apartment is a very short walk to all of London's different modes of public transport. All we needed was a one week Oyster Card and that covered all our travel needs while in London.

“Loved it - great location and excellent value - a cosy, comfy apartment in an interesting Victorian building.” Superb central location in London's West End - within minutes walk of Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, shops, restaurants, galleries, theatres, cinemas.... Great value, light & bright, very comfortable with all the basic amenities within the faded splendour of a friendly, Victorian mansion block. The arched street entrance with a pair of splendidly carved heavy wooden doors leads into an entrance lobby with marble steps and a tiny old lift with concertina gates. There is stained glass in the stairwell, and the apartment is high-ceilinged with intricate plaster moulding, and large windows (triple glazed).

“Wonderful spacious apartment in ideal London location” My family of 5 (3 children) stayed 7 nights at this wonderful central London apartment. It was perfect in terms of proximity to most London attractions, it was easy to walk to most things, including the shops at Russell Square, and also to the tube stations. We loved how spacious, clean and beautifully restored the apartment is and how quiet the street is at night. It made visiting London with the family so much more enjoyable than staying at a hotel. We would not hesitate staying in this apartment again and would recommend it to anyone as a great base when staying in London.

“Excellent for our purpose - a home away from home” Our seven week stay was great. Flat met on-line descriptions/photos/facilities list, was clean, tidy and well maintained - very comfortable to be in. Everything worked and all appliances had instruction booklets available. Good heating system. Location (in Islington) was excellent - two small licensed shops 50 metres down road, pub across road and 2 more within 150 metres, close to shopping centre (Islington Green/Angel) and local entertainment. London's theatres/attractions easily accessible from Angel tube and buses from Islington Green. We used Lastminute.com to get lots of our tickets to shows - this worked well. Loved the half price cocktails at The Winchester at top end of road on Thursday nights. Pub across road has well recognised organic restaurant - we found food good. Regents Canal at bottom end of road - walks and pubs.

Central London/Zone 1 holidays

London is a massive sprawling city with plenty to discover. In the heart of it lies Central London – the area covered by Zone 1 of the underground.

Grab an Oyster Card and start exploring everything this wonderful destination has to offer, then retreat back to your holiday rental in Central London for a great night's sleep!

About Central London

The skyline of this famous city is a unique blend of old and new. Historic buildings and monuments sit next to skyscrapers of dizzying heights. But don't worry, it's not all built up areas! There are huge green spaces where you can sit, relax and watch the world go by.

What to do

From here you can choose exactly where you want to go. For history, head to the Tower and other historic sites, for a spot of shopping go to Oxford Road, for the business district (or a fantastic view) visit the Shard.

For a touch of culture go to the South Bank. You can go a gallery – the Tate Modern is really popular – or even go to the theatre, with the National Theatre and Globe Theatre not too far away.

Lovely one bedroom garden flat in Notting Hill close to public transport links
Yes, it really is that spectacular!!!

The two of us booked Lorna's unbelievable flat for a week in early May and were shocked at how fantastically well it was stocked and furnished. This is not a rental property; it is a lovely home in which, I suspect, Lorna returns to when she is in London. Writing an adequate review of this place becomes a writing contest; a contest at which I don't thrive. My first recommendation would be to encourage one to read all the reviews. You will notice that they are universally full of praise. In summation, it really is that good. The flat is beautiful and unbelievably packed with everything one could ask for to accommodate two people. If the weather is good, you can sit out on the rear patio and enjoy your glass of wine among the flowers. We noticed that it became so much a home to the guests that some, like us, even watered the plants if it was dry. The area is just perfect. We are convinced that Notting Hill is the place to stay in London. Lorna's notebook of information and recommendations is loaded with great places to eat and shop. We aren't shoppers, but we took her up on her restaurant suggestions. We loved the Turkish casual Fez Mangal--even had the cook pose for a picture. Even more, we loved the food and the neighborhood-like atmosphere at the Mediterraneo. These, and many more, are in Lorna's book. One thing that hasn't been often mentioned was how good, fast, and reliable the internet was. We had brought our small laptop and it was easy to use. She even had a printer that we connected to easily so we could print out admission passes and airline boarding passes. Lorna, and all the reviewers, are right about the ease of transport. While the Tube is famous and convenient, we used the buses that left from Ladbroke Grove Station even more. Since we had a Tourist Oyster Card, highly recommended, both modes are interchangeable. After a long day seeing the sights, it was such a relief to get back "home" and relax in Lorna's flat. We were so enthralled with the flat and Notting Hill in general, that when we returned home, we had to re-watch the 1999 film to look for Notting Hill sights. Right in the middle of one of the street scenes was an N52 bus that we rode so often. Needless to say, we wouldn't even consider staying someplace else should we return.see more
London - St George Wharf (Zone 1)
Family vacation in London

We stayed for 5 days at St George Wharf and were all really satisfied. Location by the river is good and access to the whole city is easy as the Vauxhall metro station is only couple of meters from the building. Apartment is good - there is everything you need and room enough for four persons! It was really hot in London and air condition would have been nice, but we survived without it too, so that was not a problem. Kaz is a good host - he kept contact before the arrival and we got really good instructions. I would recommend this and if we decide to visit London again, I would definetly check the availability of this apartment first!see more
Superb Fitzrovia Apartment - Zone 1
I'll definitely be back

This apartment is in a great location in the heart of the west end. It is ideal for shopping, theatres and entertainment, bars, restaurants and for my business requirements. The host was extremely flexible with check in and helpful in answering any questions. The apartment itself is spacious with good showers and well equipped with a modern kitchen with all appliances. I'll definitely use it again.see more

Great space and location

Property was in good order and very well equipped. Plenty of room and great base to explore the capital. Plenty of information to help your visit. Stayed in for one meal and with supermarket 2 mins away this was easy. Quiet location with a short walk to Victoria where there are plenty of restaurants.
