“Brilliant brilliant” Excellent property. Lovely hamper loved celebrating my 50th here with my family. Would recommend to everyone. Could of not work out how to open doors on balconies but was not a major issue.
“Christmas at Rye beach house” What a fantastic few days. The property is of a high standard with all the home comforts you could possibly need. The downstairs garage/table tennis room was fantastic, the table tennis playoffs were a regular evening activity. Ideal for a family with dogs as ours never needed to come up the stairs after their long walks on the beach they were happy to chill in such a large space.
We managed to cook well with all the pots and serving dishes. Plenty warm enough even in December. Apple TV allowed us to catch up on Christmas tv we had missed.
Camber was quiet but suddenly came alive on Boxing Day when every one from the south came to walk their dogs or even their horses!
The booking process and information prior to arrival was excellent. Thank you
“cosy cottage in a great location” We really enjoyed our short stay in this lovely, well-equipped cottage. It is in a great location for the beach where we swam every day and could also walk our dog. The sand dunes are amazing. It's also only a short drive from Dungeness, Rye and Rye Harbour, where we had a lovely meal in the William the Conqueror pub. We would definitely recommend Beach Retreat and hope to return.
“This was a lovely week” We stayed in THE ROCK as a German family with 3 children, 8,13,15 years old. We all liked the house and the area of the other holiday houses near to us. The weather was fine, so we went every day to the beach ( very good for small children). Our children liked the Wii and it was wonderful that we had Wi-Fi. The house was very clean, only one think we didn't like, the mattresses.
“Fabulous stay in beautiful Dunescape” Dunescape is a lovely house - plenty of bright and tastefully decorated space, furnished to a high standard with quality furniture and all mod cons (for example comfortable beds, large furnished decking accessed from living room and a very welcome dishwasher) and so close to the fantastic sandy beach as well as a couple of nice restaurants and pubs. The master bedroom is particularly nice, with it's large en-suite shower room and cosy balcony for quiet relaxation with a cuppa. Stayed here with girlfriends to celebrate a special Birthday but I would not hesitate to come back to holiday with family and/or friends in couples - or to recommend Dunescape warmly to anyone looking for a top quality holiday rental by the beautiful Camber Sands. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
“Best Birthday” I had my birthday weekend here with friends and family. We were blessed by the best weather imaginable so we were swimming, fishing, walking and cycling. The cottage is well equipped for a large party of people and is comfortable. It has a lovely garden and it was part of the pleasure to sit outside, soak up the sun and do nothing more than read a good book.
It is in a very quiet location at the end of Camber Sands and near to the beach. We had a a truly memorable weekend!
On the edge of the village of Camber in East Sussex lies a beach with golden sands. Camber Sands is a great destination for those looking to escape from the hustle and the bustle of the city. Book your holiday rental in Camber Sands today to see what's on offer.
About Camber Sands
The vast sand dunes protect the village from the coastal winds, making it a perfectly peaceful spot for your next holiday.
This vibrant fishing village has an interesting past. In World War Two the area was heavily fortified because its shallow waters made it vulnerable to invasions.
Camber Sands is one of the most popular destinations on this part of the English coastline.
What to Do
The Blue Flag beach is the key attraction in Camber Sands. Spend a day lounging in the sun and watching the waves roll by. Take a dip if you dare - but be warned, the water can be a little chilly. We sometimes find staying on the shore and building sandcastles is the best option.
The sand and wind combo makes this beach the perfect spot for kitesurfing, kite land-boarding and kite buggying. Why not try one of these adrenaline-pumping activities during your stay?
Explore the old Port Town of Rye and the smugglers hideouts along the coast to find out about the area's history.
Top Camber Sands Travel Tips
There are three car parks next to the beach. Still, you should really get there early to make sure you have a good spot on the sand (and in the car park itself).
Don't worry about bringing your kite surfing equipment with you, as there are plenty of places to hire gear during your stay.

Week in Camber Sands
We had a lovely stay at Marine Cottages and would definitely return. The house was a bit hard to find at first as there are two car parks and we made a mistake having arrived at the first one. The car park is at the end of the road but Richard was on the end of the phone and assisted straight away.
The house was well presented and clean and was right on the beach, it is well equipped with everything a family needs for a week away. Plenty of chairs, tables, sun chairs.
Upstairs the master bedroom has a stunning view of the beach and the back bedroom has 3 beds.
All in all this was a very relaxing holiday but you do need to stock up with food etc as the local shops were small. We went into Rye a couple of times and well worth a visit as the small cafes and tea rooms are great. Rye had a market on the Thursday that we went. Thank you Richard for letting us stay and you were a great host. …

Amazing beach house
Weather not great but that didn't spoil our holiday. The house made our holiday! It was so spacious and had everything one needed, dish washer, washing/drying machine. Kids were happy playing on wii and drawing! I loved the kitchen so much that I wanted to cook every day.
Small issue with the top floor door that wouldn't lock, however as soon as I informed the owner of the issue he sorted it immediately and had someone round within 15 minutes, I was very impressed!
On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find a complementary packet of lemon cookies, lemon fudge cake and a bottle of fruit juice. Many thanks! …

Good dog friendly house
Close to Rye a very picturesque town. Beach accessible easily though I had forgotten how wind and sand can interact. Given the age range staying 1 to 65 plus old dog it all worked out quite well …

Very relaxing and quiet
We have had a good week the house was very clean and the welcoming cake and apple juice was a nice touch. However I hate to moan but the oven trays need replacing not that really matters all in all it’s a very good accommodation. It’s been a relaxing and quiet time. It has been good to have the dogs with us they have loved the beach walks. I would mention the double bed mattress and the beige sofa are a bit tired. …
