“Clean and well facilitated accommodation in a quirky but brilliant location” We stayed in the "Winchester" lodge which was well equipped and extremely well presented. Our time there was very comfortable and the people running the lodges were very help

Cycle Sanctuary - South Downs National Park
Real Gem - true "Home from Home"

This property is one in a million! Miles & Caroline have created a haven of tranquility in a beautifully appointed 200 year old cottage. This is one of very few self-catering properties I have stayed in where I really felt like it was a real home and not just a holiday let. While the decor has a strong cycling theme throughout (hence the name), it is very tastefully done and totally in keeping with the character of the cottage. The 2 log burning stoves provided more than sufficient heating during my stay with plenty of wood available. The radiators are heated by means of one of the stoves, which takes approximately an hour to get up to pressure. Hot water for the kitchen and bathroom is provided by means of an immersion tank though, so you don't have to light a fire to take a shower. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking anything from a roast dinner to baking a cake! The shower has good water pressure and the bath tub is more than long enough to really stretch out and soak in after a day spent walking or cycling on the SDW (which is right on the doorstep). The only suggestion I would make is to try to arrive during daylight and to take a torch as there is no street lighting and parking is a 20 to 50m walk from the door. This is certainly a property I can't wait to stay in again! see more
