“3 Water Street” This was our 3rd annual visit to this cottage in Llandudno. It is so much bigger than it seems on the outside and very well kitted out. It really is a home from home and I plan to book our next visit very soon. A great cottage in a great place.

“Fabulous setting and fantastic house” We stayed for 2 weeks and explored the area on foot from the boathouse and by car over the region. The walks from the door are great and varied-to the train station where there is a cafe and a play park for our 3 year old, as well as the steam trains, round the lake, down to Tan y Bywch house, through the woods. So much to see and do in the wider area for all age groups. The house was a great base with everything we needed - a home from home. One little warning would be the steep drop a few metres in front of the house which is risky for tiny children.

“lovely relaxing get away by the sea” we were so delighted with our stay here, the house is stunning, modern, comfatable and in a lovely peaceful location. the balcony overlooking the beach was perfect, we all enjoyed sitting and admiring the view until the sun went down, even our dog spent all his time people watching......there are plenty of little cafes and places to eat close by, we enjoyed an indian takeaway one evening, and Dylans resturant opposite is a must. There are plenty of places to visit in the area but our purpose for our holiday was to relax and unwind, which is exactly what we did, walks on the beach, nice food. and luxury accomodation, perfect for us. We highly recommend this holiday rental, it was perfect.

“Perfect post christmas family break” My family and I stayed at the Woodbank cottage for a short break The cottage was perfect in every way It was comfortable, cosy, well equiped and very well looked after The location is peaceful and stunning yet not too isolated. The Telford pub was great being just a short walk away We found it very welcoming The weather was very seasonal but kind to us which made the numerous long walks we did even more enjoyable. We went into Llangollen town which was a 10 minute drive away My son and nephew got a taxi back one night which cost just £8 We always have a family mini break over christmas and our stay at the Woodbank defiantly got a thumbs up by us all including Stanley our dog who we have never taken with us before We didn't get to meet Steve and Karen the owners, but family members were on hand if we needed anything which was good to know I would definatly recommend this cottage and would like to visit again one day maybe in the summertime Thank you for letting us stay and for the welcoming 'gift' they were yummy!

“Money well spent!” We had a lovely weekend in No 3. Comfortable and warm with everything we needed. Kitchen equipped with all sorts of extras such as foil, cling film, oils, ketchup etc which we were asked to replace if they ran out. It sleeps six but as a two we had plenty of room to spread out; six might be a bit cosy downstairs. A small garden with decking and table and chairs for four. Garden enclosed so dogs safe, but with the beach only 50m away it was easier to walk them down the road onto the sand. A quiet area with parking for one car in the courtyard right outside the house. Owner Claire was a pleasure to deal with. Excellent value for money - recommended!

“Great house!” We had a great time staying in the house. It's huge and really well furnished and decorated. Owners were really nice and helpful, and everything was in place. Little notes and sweets left for the kids left them overwhelmed! we were lucky to have a sunny day! So we just walked down to the tram, took it up the hill and strolled down to the pier and town. The house location is perfect as you don't need to get in the car to get to the beach, town or the pier. The views from the top of the hill were great. highly recommended!

“Perfectly peaceful place” We stayed here for a long weekend, 4 adults with 4 children ranging from 5 years to 11. We had a wonderful time, the lodge is lovely and the local area is great for days out. Penvale Lakes is a really quiet park but the pool was great for the kids and fishing on the lake plus paddling in the little stream was heaven for the kids. Ideal for a weekend away for anyone that wants peace and quiet but plenty of things to do on your doorstep.

“Ideal base for adventures in Snowdonia” A comfortable, cozy nest for a family of five. Well equipped and homely - it was always lovely to come back to after a day out. Great location with wonderful views (weather permitting) of the surrounding valleys, hills and mountains. A quiet retreat set back from and above the main road, so it felt very peaceful while at the same time being well connected for trips around North Wales. Also, very well situated for assaults on Moel Siabod (the path up goes past the cottage), Snowdon (of course) and any other peak you can think of in Snowdonia. We loved it.

“Fantastic setting, people and location” Stayed last week in August 2012 as last minute booking, mix of weather but location brilliant for beach and mountains etc. Shame we could not make the most out of the gardens due to the weather. Lots of DVDs and freeview tv for the evenings when it rained though. Fantastic waterfall just across the road. There was myself, wife and two children, 7 and 10 and our two dogs and there are some fantastic walks very close to cottage, and some fantastic beaches within circa 12miles. Recommend Black Rock and Harloch. Bedgelert and other touristy locations all close enough to enjoy without having to drive for hours. Shame the Ffestiniog train was so expensive though as we walked to nearest station - about a mile - and it was £45.00 return for us all just to Portmadog then another £70.00 to Carnarfon. A lovely couple and children who made us feel welcome. Thanks for letting our children use your zip wire and trampoline. Was worried our children might find it boring and compact but they had a great time as did our dogs. Would recommend to any one as great value for money, in a lovely old cottage. Only thing i missed was a local pub but did find a nice Hotel / pub called the Oaklands within driving distance, just a bit too far to walk. Thanks Oliver and Sheena for a lovely week.

“Ideal base for Snowdonia” The cottage is just off the main High Street down a cul-de-sac with a handful of other properties. A parking space is available on the gated front garden. There is a conservatory on the front of the cottage which serves as a smart dining room. The design is open-plan, leading into a lounge area with a small but well equipped kitchen. Up the stairs there is a fold-up bed for guests but also the sofa downstairs is a bed/settee. The smart and spacious bedroom gives a great view of the lake and there is an en-suite shower room. The property is best suited for couples as the only toilet is in the ensuite. The gardens are well kept and there is an outhouse with tumble dryer etc... Also there is a washing machine in the kitchen which proved handy for washing muddy clothes. All in all, highly recommended. Ruth next door helped with any questions we had but was not intrusive.

“Lovely location” This chalet is located on a lovely lake which is situated on a camp site with a pool and clubhouse ( not used by us). The chalet is basic but cosy. The decking has potential but needs some TLC. More detailed instructions would be beneficial too. Disappointed that towels were not included within the £25 linen fee. Had an enjoyable couple of days stay as the location was ideal for exploring.

“Cosy base for exploring Snowdonia National Park” A fantastic cosy cottage from which to explore all the delights of Snowdonia. It's compact but very clean and comfortable and fitted our family of four (including two boys of 11 and 14) perfectly. The welcome pack was a very nice touch. As others have said the pub across the bridge is very friendly and shows football matches in the evenings. Thanks very much Alan, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't fault the communication or the cleanliness of the cottage.

Contacted Kate last minute about bringing our dog with us and without any hesitation advised wasn’t a problem. Cottage itself was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Will most definitely return when we visit the stunning Snowdonia National Park in the near future.

“Perfect cabin” What a great place! The cabin was amazing, modern and very clean with everything you needed. Tony & Deb are very good hosts, always keeping in contact & there to andwer anything straight away, supplying helpful maps and a guide book showing all local things to do during your stay with shops, pubs, petrol stations near by too. We had a baby with us and felt very happy coming in and seeing the place had baby proof appliances (plug socket protectors etc) and toys were also there which he soon found! There was great views too from the balcony! I would certainly recommend staying here and we will be looking to coming back too!

“Ideal location, wonderful outlook.” The house was everything it claimed to be with an outlook to sea and sunsets above our expectations. We had a very varied group (94 to 40) and everyone was catered for. If I had to be critical the dining chairs were not too comfortable especially for the elder relatives and the kitchen and downstairs double room shower could have been cleaner. That said I would recommend this to anyone and will go back again very soon if only to experience the hot tub and have a BBQ with that amazing view.

North Wales holidays

North Wales seeped in Welsh history and culture, is a region passionate about language music and history. This area is a holiday hot bed due to its gorgeous scenery and natural attractions. Fine sand beaches, along with rivers, mountains, and waterfalls dot the landscape and create an atmosphere that must be seen to be believed.

North Wales has many attractions for the adventurous traveller. Sail a boat in the Abersoch Llyn Peninsula, mountain bike at Coed Llandegla, or hike on the Brecon Beacons. The whole family can take surf lessons on the Llyn Peninsula too or horseback ride down the beach at Marloes Sands. Walk along the Anglesey Coast Path in Church Bay or mountain bike the Clwydian Range.

All of North Wales makes for a fun holiday, but try these top locations first:

Snowdonia: White water raft in Bala or climb ropes in Ogwen Valley - Snowdonia has it all. There is also a national park of 823 square miles in the area featuring mountain ranges, waterfalls, and incredible wildlife.

Denbighshire: The oldest inhabited piece of north east Wales is also the home of many UK celebrities.

Wrexham: A major cultural, educational, government, and economic hub of Northern Wales. The host of many sporting events and conventions for the area.

Deeside: Deeside is known for its industry, providing jobs for the people of Cheshire, Merseyside & North Wales and the home of Airbus (type of aircraft) manufacturing.

North Wales is picturesque, and you’ll want to experience it like a true Welshman by staying in a holiday rental instead of a hotel. Make your next holiday a special one by visiting North Wales - you won’t regret it.

Tarian Haf: Restful Bungalow with sea views, wood burner, garden summer house
Dreamy!

This was the second time we visited Tarian Haf, and no doubt many more to come! It’s the most wonderful little bungalow that is just ideal for us and our 3 girls. We made the most of the amazing sunshine, the garden, the summerhouse, the lounge, the outdoor shower…. The list is endless! Location is perfect for those like us that have a beach trolley, paddleblrd, kayak, buckets spades, tent….no faffing with loading, driving and unloading a car. We had glorious weather and did sooooo much in our week there. The closest little cove beach was amazing in the evenings with the sunset and some French cricket! Not to mention the ideal spot for some metal detecting - we found £9.25! All in all it was one of our best holidays on Anglesey - and we have had a fair few! This is the only place we have ever returned to. We just love it. Cons: we found other beach goers parked opposite the driveway which made it difficult for us to get our car off some days (we have a big Land Rover discovery) so ended up staying local and not driving. Maybe a cone or 2 would help to prevent people parking opposite? The summerhouse hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival - we weren’t bothered by this however it did smell slightly of cannabis and we were worried that we would end up being accused as the smell was still there at the end of our holiday! Also - could the house be haunted? We experienced some very bizarre goings on! never the less, we would return!see more

Perfect little home from home

Clear instructions given upon booking and great price. There is ample parking spaces and the chalet is stunning. Very clean and lots of information provided in the booklet left for visitors. The chalet has little touches which make it feel very homely and it was absolutely spotless. And the views of the lake are gorgeous! The owner is lovely and very helpful. I am already planning my next trip and would always stay here on any visits to North Wales.see more
