“Wonderful stay with friends - couldn't ask for anything more!” Together with friends we had a wonderful stay at The Ark. The house is lovely and has everything you could think of needing inside - the owners were also really helpful answering any questions we had before our stay and ensuring we had their number to phone if needed throughout the weekend. Honestly could not recommend The Ark enough, the hamper was also a wonderful touch and appreciated by all guests. We will definitely be booking again!

“Fantastic Place & Owner” This home we stayed in was wonderful. The entire property is well presented and was incredibly clean. The room had everything we needed and were told we had access to a large, warm living room and kitchen dining room. We had access to food for breakfast (a good selection of options). Overall, very happy with our choice to stay here. Finally, Babs the live in owner is a gem. Such a friendly and warm person who made us feel right at home. She was most helpful with the questions we had about what to see and how to get around Brighton. Thanks a million Babs.

“Beautifully appointed and cosy sea-view cottage” Fabulously warm and cosy cottage in an ideal location for touring/walking with stunning sea views from upstairs and down. Tastefully decorated throughout with very comfortable furniture and beds - a real home-from-home. The accommodation was very clean, inviting and well-stocked for everything you might need... there was even free wifi and Netflix! Would definitely recommend and would happily visit again.

“Fabulous location” Had a fabulous long weekend at the Piazza. The house is extremely clean and well appointed. Quality of crockery, bedding etc all very good. Some lovely touches throughout. Superb location with easy access to Eastbourne and surrounding area. Loved being by the water watching the boats and close to some good restaurants. Beds very comfortable. We have hired a lot of houses over the years and this certainly is one of the best we have stayed in.

“Tranquil flat right by the sea” It’s our second trip to Gull’s View and we enjoyed it very much both times. Excellent location right next to the beach at the St Leonard’s end of Hastings and though the road noise is pretty constant it’s still very calm in the flat. The light and view in the front room is worth the booking alone, but flat is very clean and well appointed - it has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Recommend watching the sun go down drinking wine at Goat Ledge in the evenings or their fried fish bap for lunch. If you’re vegan, tons to suit you in Hastings George St including Sham City Roasters, an adorable hideaway selling excellent vegan cake and lunches, as well as lovely traditional bakery in St Leonard’s opposite the Co-Op. we ate excellent pizza at Forte’s a few doors from the flat and the fish and chips were really good from the place next door. Would definitely visit again.

“Perfect getaway, children loved helping around the farm” The barn is in a beautiful setting. The farm is home to some of the most charming animals we have ever met. My children (aged 9 and 11) truly enjoyed meeting up with Madeleine each morning and evening for feeding and learned so much about animal husbandry from her. Madeleine is a treasure who made the trip for my daughter whilst my son explored the nearby trails and woods. The cottage was comfortable and we all really enjoyed our stay.

“Perfect position on the beach.” Had a great week in this house.Lots of room and two bathrooms which was great for our two couples.The house was perfect for sea fishing and despite the awful weather a great time was had by all including our dog. “A hidden gem” A beautiful house in a wonderful location. Paul and the team have really thought through all the small touches and we were very impressed when we arrived to find everything from dishwasher tablets to a baby bottle sterilizer! They had even thought of small touches and supplied us bread, milk and butter upon arrival. The house is very tastefully designed. The beds are super comfy and there is lots of storage space. We lucked out on the weather and so we had a great day on the beach (which wasn't busy i might add!) it was just a perfect weekend. The only thing to note is that there is a very steep iron, spiral staircase to get up to the main rooms from downstairs - just watch out with clumsy people and little ones.

“Heaven” I already fell in love with the apartment at Embassy Court when I saw the photos for the first time. After booking it I could hardly wait to get there. Often, when expectations are that high, you're going to be disappointed. Not so in this case. Everything was even better than expected. When I entered the apartment I was surrounded by light and brightness (I was really lucky with the weather!), and I immediately felt welcome and at home. I felt like this every single time I opened the door to the apartment, and I was looking forward to going "home" every day of my two-week stay. At this point I should perhaps mention that Brighton and Hove have so much to offer that you could stay there for weeks without wishing to get back inside. But Embassy Court is situated in the perfect spot, right between Brighton and Hove, and convenient to walk to every place you could imagine. Great restaurants, cafès, shops and supermarkets are literally just around the corner, as are bus stops and of course the beach! When you stay at Embassy Court you can enjoy the busy life in a great city and yet, within a minute, you can be up in heaven, in a peaceful and quiet apartment at eye level with the seagulls. The bathroom and kitchen are much bigger than you expect from the photos and extremely well equipped. Everything is new and shiny and spotlessly clean, and the whole apartment is very tastefully furnished. Sheets and towels are provided, and as I was staying for two weeks I was even offered a fresh set of towels for the second week. And the bed was very, very comfortable! The giant flatscreen TV is much better than the one we have at home and allows you to watch hundreds of channels. Theoretically, because in practice you will only want to look outside and enjoy the amazing sea view! By the way, most reviews forget to mention that there is also a fabulous view over Brighton and Hove from the rear! What also made staying at this apartment such a joy was the fact that the whole booking, arriving and checking-in-process was so simple, and dealing with the owner, Olivia, was always a pleasure. She responds to every question you might have within hours or even minutes and is extremely friendly. The same is true for Haley who greeted me on arrival and showed me around. Thank you both very much! I could go on for hours praising the apartment, but who wants to read such long reviews? There is only one last thing I would like to point out: the apartment is also heaven for everybody who is interested in modern architecture. Embassy Court is a landmark of Modernist architecture which has been restored to its original beauty only recently. It's a joy just to walk through the gorgeous entrance door, and if you let yourself in for it, a stay at Embassy Court can even take you back in time. Heaven indeed!

“Brilliant Base for Brighton” Great location just outside of central Brighton. Only 5 mins walk to the nearest bus stop and train station. The place itself is amazing. Everything in it is practically brand new. The rooms are very nice and well furnished. Kitchen was well supplied and beds were very comfortable even the fold out sofa.

“Peaceful” Though it was stormy outside, the house is quiet and cosy, and watching the wildish weather from the front conservatory in the warm was quite a winter treat. Accommodation is very good, and position for Brighton and surrounds perfect. We love a sea view and that is exactly what you get. There are immediate walks outside the front gate, and there are also the promenade walks a very short distance to and beneath the chalk cliffs. Don't know if this is the norm, but we had a warm and personal welcome from Geraldine on arrival - whatever, the accommodation itself and position provide all you will need for a great break.

“Beautiful stay in Battle” These new cottages in Battle are excellently equipped and conveniently located for exploring Battle and the surrounding area on foot or by car. Our boys loved the games room which had table tennis and a huge selection of games and books for all ages. We had a great holiday - thank you!

Really comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and large lounge/dining/kitchen. 30 minutes pleasant walk into Brighton and also v close to bus and train. Great communication and information from our hosts, who were incredibly accommodating - couldn't fault it or them.
