“Secluded, cosy and romantic” We stayed at this lovely cottage for 5 nights in October. We took the ferry which was very easy and as you drive closer to Tighnabruaich the scenery gets more and more spectacular. The directions were excellent and we managed to get our bog-standard astra up the drive where we were welcomed by Peter at the cottage. The cottage itself is lovely. In a beautiful secluded spot with a river running by and stunning views out to the Kyles of Bute. Although simple and rustic, it has everything you need. The fire keeps the cottage warm and cosy and as long as you've had it lit for a few hours the water is lovely and warm. The kitchen is well equipped. We kept all food and drink in a cool box in the back bedroom which kept it fresh. We went for a relaxing break, which was very easy to achieve. I would recommend going in October as the autumnal colours were stunning. We went for numerous walks and there were a variety of pubs within walking distance if we fancied a pint or two. A few tips: take slippers for inside and wellies for out. A headtorch is useful if you plan to do any cooking in the dark. Light a bonfire outside (Peter will show you where this is possible) and do some star gazing. We had an excellent time and felt thoroughly relaxed by the end. We will definitely be returning. I can not recommend this place enough.

“Beautiful place. We will be back!” Fourwinds is a gorgeous spacious cottage beautifully located in a peaceful quiet location situated in unspoilt surroundings. There is good walking from the front door, and a range of shops and eating places is close by. It’s a stunning, very well maintained cottage, set in a nice sized garden, with the added attraction of being dog friendly. It has a big friendly Kitchen, and all the equipment and furnishings were in excellent working order. The cottage never felt cramped at any time, has excellent reception rooms, and a handy snug for the children to do their own thing! The bedrooms were roomy with excellent storage, and all the bathrooms light and fresh. We stay in cottages a lot and this one could be our home! We will be back. Thank you so much.
