The Fife region

Our properties are based in several locations along the coast from St. Andrews to Crail. The area is rich in history and has many attractions historical and sporting, the main one being golf. The nearest train station is Leuchars and we are about 1hour 20mins North of Edinburgh. From Glasgow we are a full 2 hours driving. If coming to the area it is probably best to have a car as plenty of beautiful and interesting places can be found within a short drive from our locations. If you are planning on not hiring or bringing a car, it is best to stick to our properties within the town centres of St. Andrews or Crail. If arriving by plane the quickest travel option is to hire a car from either Glasgow or Edinburgh airport. Where as if you are arriving by train it is easiest to continue by train from Edinburgh to Leuchars and then hire a car locally (the train takes about 6 hours from London).

St. Andrews

Legend tells us that the relics of the apostle Andrew were brought to Scotland by St Regulus. Having been shipwrecked off the Fife coast he founded a church on the site where the town now stands, establishing St Andrews as a prominent part of Scotland's history.

Now most famous for its unrivalled golfing facilities, the town offers the visitor a vast variety of attractions and events from museums, beaches, restaurants, gardens and parks to the Highland games, the Lammas Fair and University occasions such as the Kate Kennedy parade. The town provides a unique blend of history, recreation and charm which has made St Andrews one of the most popular tourist destinations in Scotland today.

We have a selection of properties in and around St. Andrews that cater to most tastes. The town centre locations are ideal for golfers and can provide accommodation to rival any hotel if you enlist the services of our chef, whereas the more rural properties offer a more relaxed and family orientated accommodation with children's play areas that include swings, see-saw, trampolines and even a small football pitch.

"Ideal location, Cozy Quarters"

The Wee House was our home based for a buddies golf trip to Scotland. The location was ideal. The house and beds were comfortable "enough" for four guys looking to crash after 36 holes of … More

"While the house was ok the service was poor and expensive."

The service offered by Kingask properties is expensive and not tourist-friendly. For example, the house lists 'linens' as 'included' we had to place 5 telephone calls before rece… More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your experience with Kingask was not satisfactory. Linens are in fact supplied but towels are only supplied if added as an extra when you make your booking, some clients prefer to bring their own. We simply run too many properties to be able to meet all the guests at the houses and again this is made clear at the time of booking. The Wee House is one of busiest houses and has had a full occupancy since the beginning of May, this is the only bad review the property has received. The house is situated in the middle of town which everyone finds very convenient but noise from the environment is unavoidable, all the windows in the house are double glazed and the house is well insulated with very thick walls. Shutters are fitted to both bedroom windows and if operated correctly give total privacy to our guests. Once again we apologise that your stay was not as you wished but we have taken your comments on board.

"Central location"

We stayed in the Wee House for one week. It was comfortable and central for all St Andrews has to offer. On the downside, as the property was right on the main road and on a roundabout it was always… More

Thank you for your feedback. The property is fully double glazed throughout and well insulated, although we agree it is central and next to a main road, we feel every effort has been made to cut down on the noise pollution, although being in the middle of town, this is hard to eradicate completely.
