The Fife region

St Andrews is a fabulous place to visit. It prides itself on offering our visitors a great place to stay, eat and be entertained. It is the premier location in the World for golf and has the famous Old Course along with 7 others within the town. The shopping is fabulous with a number of independent boutiques as well as high street names. There are 2 glorious beaches and fabulous coastal walks. The historic town has a cathedral and castle both creating a stunning backdrop for some fabulous exploring and photography. An abundance of good eateries and cafes complete the picture of a perfect holiday destination.

There are many outdoor pursuits with all the watersports the beaches can offer, golf, tennis, walking, great cycling, surfing, horseriding to name but a few. There is something for everyone.

St. Andrews

St Andrews and the East Neuk are just the best places to visit in Scotland.

"Beautiful Cottage, Fab location!!"

We booked the cottage to attend a wedding on The Scores and were very pleased to find that it was a 15-20 minute walk down Viaduct Walk into the town centre. We stayed a week and found this cottage to be a very good base for days out around St. Andrews, Dundee, and Tentsmuir Forest. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well supplied with essential cooking tools. Has a beautiful garden for a nice relaxing drink in the evening. There is an Aldi a 5 minute walk away and Morrisons just a little further up the road as well as some great local shops in town. The range of delis, bakeries, butchers, fishmongers, and ice cream parlours is amazing and we spent a good few pennies in local establishments. We especially loved Luvians Whisky Shop. The TV has basic freeview channels but we brought our laptop and a HDMI cable with us to watch Netflix when the kids went to bed, though we found we were too pre-occupied with our books or puzzles to actually pay attention to it. I would definitely go back here again and would return with the kids. My only recommendation is to take a couple of guard rails for the beds if you have a child that's used to a toddler bed as our son fell out of bed twice. I put pillows on the floor and stuffed pillows between the bedside table and the mattress. A travel gate it also a good idea to stop wandering littlies at night as everything in the house is very easy for children to get hold of. My party consisted of me, my husband, our 3 year old and our 6 month old.
