Wight Sails is a brick-built, double-glazed chalet, with Eco heating for the colder weather, and it has been completely renovated to a high standard sparing no expense to make this chalet one of the best you will find it is one of the few chalets on the site with its own WiFi provided for our own guests at no extra cost.

The chalet is situated in a peaceful location with fantastic views across the Downs, and the historic Yaverland fort to the rear. There are sea views from various points on the site. In just a few minutes walk by coastal footpath or road you will find safe, sandy beaches leading to all local amenities. It is a perfect haven for families and couples to relax and enjoy one of the sunniest spots in the UK, adjacent to the National Trust Bembridge Down and coastal walk with spectacular views of Culver Cliff and across Sandown Bay. There are many miles of cycle routes and walkers' pathways both on the coast and inland. There are no amenities on this quiet site. The clubhouse building, which includes part of the protected historic fort, is currently awaiting renovation.

In this well-appointed chalet we have provided very comfortable, brand new modern accommodation decorated in light and airy coastal style with open plan lounge and kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The very comfortable sofa bed can sleep 2 people in the lounge, a comfy chair, dining table and 4 chairs, and a large flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player, and a useful full-length mirror. The galley style kitchen area includes a cooker with ceramic hob, fan oven and separate grill, extractor, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, and a good range of small appliances and utensils all that is needed for holiday dining.

We have furnished Bedroom 1 like the rest of the chalet with good quality furnishings including a double bed with a luxury mattress, bedside tables, double wardrobe, and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 has new modern bunk beds with regulation height mattresses and a useful shelving/storage unit. Anti-allergenic pillows and duvets are provided in both rooms. Good quality bed linen is provided at no extra charge for both bedrooms & the sofa bed, and bedroom beds will be made up for your arrival.

Towels are also provided so all you need to bring are beach towels.

The modern, bathroom with beautiful blue subway tiles has a corner shower cubicle, pedestal sink and toilet. The chalet is heated throughout with eco-heaters in each room to keep electric costs low, especially useful for winter breaks, and there is a wall heater in the bathroom. All window blinds are fitted with children's safety in mind.

There is a grassy area outside the chalet, and 4 garden chairs and a table are provided so that guests can soak up the Island sunshine and enjoy the views of the Downs with the National Trust Bembridge Fort visible in the distance, and listen to the sound of the nearby waves especially on a breezy day. Children can play happily on the grass but would need to be supervised at all times. Free parking is nearby.

A folder inside Wight waves contains much more information, we suggest that you take the time to read this through soon after your arrival to ensure you get the best from your stay. There is lots to read about the area & places to eat and drink, nearest cash machine, shops etc.

Why can't I call Rowena (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rowena (the owner) a message.

If Rowena (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
