All information regarding house instructions, door access, etc. will be communicated to you in the lead up to your arrival date. You will receive a link in order to gain access to the information or at that point you may request a pdf to be sent to you instead. This is usually 14 days prior to your arrival date and will only be sent if full payment has been collected. A hard copy of the guest information is also kept at the apartment.

Suitability:-
There are no child locks or any infant protections in place at all within the apartment. Please consider this before booking as we will not accept liability.
Security Monitoring:-
We have one security camera. This is located within the exterior porch and is visible. It is positioned to monitor the exterior door only.
Guest Access Areas:-
This listing is for the lower level apartment (Apartment A) within a cottage that contains 2 separate apartments. The apartment has it's own private front door. You will have full use of this entire apartment and it's contents and full private use of the patio garden.
For Your information: - Our listing for the upper floor apartment (Apartment B) can be viewed under the description "Some wow! in the town - St Andrews prime location ''. Although both apartments are within the same building, they are both separate and have their own private entrance.
Both apartments may also be rented as a whole for a larger group who want to be under the same roof but with the privacy of 2 separate accommodations.
Pre-Arrival
Check-in is at 3.00pm and we are not able to store any of your luggage prior to this time. Guest Information and door access will all be communicated to you on the lead up to your arrival date.
HOUSE RULES:-
People:-
*No parties, events or large gatherings allowed.
*No extreme noise.
*No smoking allowed.
*Maxim overnight occupancy is strictly 4 people, no unregistered guests allowed.
*Adhere to check-in (3.00pm) and check-out (10.00am) times.
Apartment:-
*Respect our home. Keep it clean and take care of the furnishings.
*Do not take any indoor furniture or soft furnishings outdoors and do not take the music speaker away from the apartment.
*Wash your dishes and ensure that all pots & pans, plates, cutlery, utensils, etc are perfectly clean before placing back in cupboards/ drawers.
*If heating is not required, turn off at the wall thermostat (instructions are in the Guest Guide).
*Take extra care of the keycards. Lost keycards incur a charge.
*Please don’t rearrange the furniture.
Dogs
*Bringing your well behaved dog must be advised and approved at time of booking (1 dog only, small to medium in size, must be well trained).
*Please appropriately supervise your dog. “Accidents” in the garden must be bagged and disposed of immediately.

Stroll in 10mins to the first tee of the Old Course! If you're not partaking in a round yourself, why not grab a pastry and a coffee on the way down and perch yourself on a bench by the R&A and watch as the golfers take their first drive of the day down the fairway of the 1st or their final putt on the 18th green; the Swilcan Bridge in sight just to the left over the wee hidden burn, and the beach as your scenic backdrop to the right.

*Relax in the Swilcan Loft at The St Andrews Links Clubhouse and take in the stunning panoramic views over the Old Course from the roof garden whilst perhaps enjoying some fine Scottish hospitality.
*The 2 mile long "West Sands Beach" - featured in the (1981) film "Chariots of Fire"- holds many seasonal activities such as land yachting, kayaking & stand up paddle boarding.
*"East Sands Beach" & the harbour where the local community leisure centre can also be found (with family leisure pool, sports & fitness facilities).
