About the home

The cottage has been renovated throughout including the single storey white extension. The extension contains the 4th bedroom, second bathroom and sun lounge with double sofabed. Having an extra lounge makes Beach Cottage ideal for 2 families holidaying together.

The lawn reaches to the river's edge and is fully fenced. This is a great place for afternoon tea and evening BBQs, whilst watching the boats sail past and the oystercatchers and egrets feeding on the foreshore.

A path leads round the back of the cottage to the road above. From here there is a raised pavement that leads to the centre of Falmouth 15 minutes walk away. Falmouth is a splendid town with a rich maritime history. Many shops, bars and restaurants line the cobbled main street ,which leads to Events Square, the home of the National Maritime Museum and Rick Stein's new restaurant.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall is a popular destination because it appeals to a wide variety of visitors. There is the warm weather and beautiful sandy beaches, stunning scenery for walking, cycling or horse riding. Great golf courses and beautiful gardens including the world famous Eden Project. Boat trips around Falmouth bay to view the varied birdlife, seals and dolphins.

For culture there is the magnificent Llanhydrock House, Tate gallery at St. Ives and the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth. Having worked up an appetite there are many wonderful pubs and restaurants to choose from.

The Falmouth area

Falmouth is less racy than its North Coast cousins Newquay and Rock and better suited to families and couples.
The local beaches are only minutes away and are sheltered and sandy. There is a sailing school at the marina next to the cottage for Yachts and RIBs and dinghy lessons at nearby Mylor. Diving and fishing trips start from the quay in Falmouth as well as ferry trips to Truro and St. Mawes. There are a number of good golf courses a short drive away, the nearest being Falmouth Town. Many beautiful gardens are only minutes away.
The famous Pandora Inn is in nearby Restronguet and Rick Stein's latest restaurant is in the middle of Falmouth.

“Excellent location,well equipped, safe for children and wonderful views.” Sainsbury's and float and ride short distance away . Float and ride takes you into Falmouth and any easy walk to Falmouth is 20 mins.
