Easy booking experience. We were greeted on arrival and the cottage was lovely and clean and very warm. The welcome pack was very substantial and much apprieciated, thank you. We are a family of 4 with children age 16 and 7. The children loved the open galleried bedroom reach by a spiral staircase. Our downstairs bedroom was big with good storage the view over the award winning bay was magnificent. The beds were very comfortable we all slept very well. The views from every window was lovely I definately chilled out watching the sea from my armchair with a glass of wine in hand. The lights across the sea in the evenings was lovely. The trains sound like wind so you don't even notice them after the first day Although compact the kitchen was well equipped. Storage for groceries was restricted. But we did self cater all week apart for one takeaway from burntisland fish & chip which were lovely. Burnisland has everthing you need within 5 minute walk so you don't need a car. The train to edinburgh cost £15.80 return for a family of 4. Burntisland also has a good regular bus service. Park and ride from forth road bridge cost 10.80 for the day We had a lovely day in Edinburgh zoo. We saw the sleeping giant pandas, so cute. The pigmy hippos and koala were great. Well worth the visit. We will have to revisit this area and would definately rebook seaside cottage. Thank you for a cosy warm home from home in a lovely location |
