“PEACEFUL, RELAXING, EXCELLENT LOCATION” We have just returned from 68 Yardie, it is a lovely clean spacious property with everything and more that you could wish for. From the bedroom window we saw dolphins in the sea within an hour of arriving. We walked a mile or so along coastal path and watched the seals basking and swimming. Town is 10-15mins walk with good variety of shops. Beds huge and very comfortable as were the sofas. Owners helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Will certainly stay again when is Scotland as left feeling stress-free and relaxed.

“Fabulous cottage in wonderful location” My husband, teenage daughter, puppy and I spent a fantastic week in this lovely cottage. The cottage was clean, well-equipped with plenty of space for all of us. The large, enclosed garden was great for the puppy and the access from there to walks around the estate was very handy. We walked to Duffus Castle, which is definitely worth a visit. Would recommend Burghead Beach and Roseisle for great walks and Duffus Inn, The Bothy in Burghead and Spice Tandoori in Elgin for fabulous food. We would recommend this lovely cottage. Caroline was very helpful, providing information about things to do before and during our stay, as well as supplying a very nice welcome basket for our arrival.

“Family visit” The cottage was very well equipped and very comfortable. Warm and cosy with some quirks to make it seem homely. Enjoyed our week and hope to do the same next year.

“Fantastic week in a lovely, spacious house - with a castle in the back garden!” We had a great week in Old Duffus. There were four adults and three young children in our group, and the house could have comfortably accommodated another two adults. The rooms are really spacious, and the kids loved running up and down the hallway and in and out of the (enclosed) garden. The house is really well kitted out for a family holiday - cooking in self-catering kitchens can be such a pain but I think the only thing I couldn't find was a garlic press! We really enjoyed dinners round the huge country kitchen table, or in the back garden where we could enjoy the stunning summer sunsets over Duffus Castle. We appreciated so many of the thoughtful details and extras - the garden furniture, BBQ, garden toys, fantastic little hamper with locally sourced goodies... I could go on! Great location for a family holiday too - the kids got a real kick out of being so close to a castle (the first thing you see when you open the curtains in three of the bedrooms!) and visited it several times. Easy to find geo-cache there if you need a wee pre-dinner activity! We really enjoyed working our way through some of the suggestions in the folder - Roseisle was beautiful, as was Findhorn, and we had a great afternoon in the rock pools and on the beach at Hopeman. The cooperage at Speyside was worth a visit, and we enjoyed the Biblical Gardens and Cathedral in Elgin. There were plenty of things we ran out of time for - looking forward to our next visit!

“A hidden gem” This lovely house is like the Tardis, you open the door and SO much space, upstairs, downstairs, outside ..... everywhere! Firstly, excellent communications from the owners - even though they were away, they kept making sure everything was going well by a text here and there, nice and reassuring. Pre visit communication was clear and very informative, didn't have a single niggle or worry. 17 Harbour Place faces the harbour so you can watch the sun go down from the garden and watch it come back again by crossing the road and looking right. Walking around the harbour, exploring the little paths or walking over the Moray trail, you don't have to go far from the house to start an adventure - its an awesome house in an awesome location. If you have dogs the Moray trail is literally on the doorstep, the path takes you to the gorgeous beaches of Cullen and then you walk back in time for breakfast. Food for the soul kind of dog walking, sea views, fresh air and a beach at the end of it - it takes about an hour each way. This house has an incredibly high spec on fixtures, fittings with an overall feel that money has been spent well here. The kitchen is huge so great for kids and dogs and fully equipped for every kind of dining occasion. Location : Port Knockie itself is wonderful, the neighbours lovely and chatty. A small food shop and a magnificent fish and chip shop. But the best part of being in Port Knockie is that it felt like a gateway to so many places - just buy a map and plan each day, near or far, it's all rather spectacular. (one tip, it's worth the drive to get over to Slains Castle either early or late in the day - such history and really quite a scary place sitting on the edge of the cliffs) All in all, 17 Harbour Place is one of those holiday cottages that you know you go back to .... time and time again.

“Lovely return visit” This is the second time we've stayed here and had a great time again. The house is perfect for a small family. There's a good selection of games and a few jigsaws for the wet days as well as all the usual essentials. Beds very comfy! All in all this is a great wee house and a nice base for exploring the area. Although it was chilly, being February, there was plenty to do. Lossiemouth beach is great for sandcastle building in any temperature. Coopers Park in Elgin is lovely with a good play park, aviary and large pond with ducks, swans and geese to feed.
