“A gem!” What a perfect place! Snug by name and snug by nature! We had a blissful visit! The flat is beautiful, so comfortable and the location is perfect at just a few minutes walk to Prince's St and yet set back in a nice quiet street! Can recommend to anyone and we all intend to return!

“School Reunion, Theatre Break.” We found this apartment to be perfect for our needs. So central we could walk everywhere. We had girls arriving early from the airport & the owner kindly accommodated that & allowed an early check in. We were out for the most part but the communal area was fantastic. Clean & lots of things provided - tea/coffee, Bluetooth speakers etc. Highly recommend.

“very nice apartment in a peaceful, quiet location” I stayed at this apartment for 3 days with my family and it was very comfortable. The apartment is very well set up with its utilities/amenities. All information regarding everything that could be needed was written in clear form in an instruction book. The owner had also provided information about local sightseeing and restaurants in Edinburgh. We were given a warm welcome by the concierge who also helped with our luggage. The apartment is in a quiet and peaceful location, 10 minute walking distance from a local Tesco store. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

“Perfect apartment in a perfect location” I was so looking forward to staying at this apartment and it certainly lived up to, and exceeded, my expectations. The booking process was simple and the owner, Lynne, was very thorough with the information provided at all stages of the process. Despite the apartment's location in a street full of restaurants, pubs etc I was never bothered by any noise from these establishments. The kitchen is equipped with all manner of useful items, ranging from cling film, aluminium foil, air-tight containers, tea, coffee, sugar, some basic herbs, spices and condiments etc, ample cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Instructions are provided for everything from the heaters to the washing machine, as is a range of tourist information. As well as lots of pubs/restaurants in the area, there are also a number of supermarkets close by if you want to cook your own meals. Travelling with heavy, bulky, luggage I was initially concerned about the width/steepness of the staircases to access this second floor apartment however I need not have worried- the staircases are surprisingly wide and provide better access than others I have encountered. Would I stay here again? Most definitely!!

“Comfy, well-equipped apartment in fabulous location” We stayed in Edinburgh for 14 days, 10 of these were in this apartment. The apartment was very clean and had great amenities - cookware, laundry machine, hair dryer, comfortable bed, TV etc. Lynne was really great and made booking very easy. The location is fantastic - a quick walk to a strip of pubs (which were all pretty great, our favourites were the Beehive Inn and Black Bull). It's also a short walk away from the Royal Mile, which is a lot busier place to stay (stayed there our first 4 days). There were quite a few stairs to go up to get to the apartment, my partner and I are very active though so we didn't mind at all - just wouldn't want to bring someone who has difficulty getting around here. Only downfall was the shower - it was tiny! I'm very petite and I was super cramped. My boyfriend had a hell of a time with it. That was the only downfall though.

“Very comfortable, well heated and central.” Stayed for a week in May. The weather was very cold with daily temperatures ranging from 7 to 11 degreesC. Coming from Darwin Australia it was a bit of a shock. We did manage to get around a bit mostly by taxi and saw all the big item things, the castle the museum etc. It was wonderful to come home to a beautiful centrally heated flat after our outings. Should we or our family ever visit Edinburgh again Murphy's Place would be the only place to stay. Many thanks Edele for meeting us when we arrived and letting us stay in your lovely apartment.

“Centrally located and family friendly!” I booked this apartment considering it's location and accomodation for 2 adults and 2 children (5 and7) which it did very comfortably. It had everything that we required including washer/dryer, dishwasher and hairdryer. The beds and luxe linens were extremely comfortable. Wifi worked very well to. Lynne was fantastic in the booking phase and then met us at the property to let us in after a long haul flight which was very much appreciated. I would add that there are 3 flights of stairs leading up to the apartment which is worth considering if you have lots of luggage or equipment to bring up and down however does not take away from the experience at all. I really cannot fault this well located and freshly/luxuriously fitted apartment. It is a pleasure to highly recommend this property in Edinburgh.

“Conveniently located and well appointed to satisfy a family's need for bonding and vacationing.” Found the apartment to be a pleasant surprise and felt welcomed by the thoughtfulness of the owners. The apartment had things that are often taken for granted in self- catered places so that one can immediately make use of the place. Very good return on the money spent and would definitely use this again.

“Great apartment” We decided to go to Edinburgh to celebrate a special wedding anniversary and chose the apartment cos it had an open fire and it seemed reasonably priced. From the beginning, contact with the owner was excellent - Mark made himself available for whatever questions we had and met us on arrival, giving us a hand with our luggage, and advising us of the best place to park, what to visit, what restaurants were good etc. The actual apartment was well equipped, spacey with great decoration and with many original features - the fire was brill and the apartment's location was within walking distance of most tourist spots if you don't mind walking 10-15 minutes (except the castle which is a good 30 minutes up a steep hill but great if you want to get the blood pumping!) The only slight downsides were the apartment is on the third floor so lots of steps - this didn't bother us but may if you struggle with stairs - and there is no parking outside the property but, again, there is some available a short walk away. All round, we had a great time in Edinburgh and staying in this lovely apartment added to this - it was like home from home, highly recommended.
