“Comfortable, well-equipped cottage in a pretty country location” Bread, wine, and a pair of beautiful horses in the field behind the house were waiting for us. Has a well equipped kitchen and plenty of space for three of us. Located in very quiet pretty country area. Only problem was not finding internet access but soon got used to that!
“Fantastic home from home!” We had an amazing short stay with our toddlers to visit longleat safari and found this hidden gem which we will certainly be rebooking again! We had the most friendliest welcome that felt like we had come to stay with family! Bridget and Robert the owners baked a cake that was waiting for us (really nice as was my husbands birthday too, which they didn’t know) ...every item we would hope for was already there even though it’s self catering...tea bags, milk, washing up liquid, coffee, oil, toilet roll, all utensils (home from home, so much to list but things you always forget!) ...they gave us full privacy but text in the morning to say no rush to check out plus offers to get us anything else we needed...very homely modern charming place to stay with the best quality thank you very much Barbara
“5* accommodation at a realistic price!” Lock Quay Cottage in Bradford on Avon is 5* accommodation for 9 adults with excellent living and dining/cooking space. Nine members of my family stayed at the cottage for week in August in preparation for our daughter's wedding in West Lavington with the reception held at The Barn at Wick Farm. It is excellently placed at the side of the Kennet and Avon canal and close to the very charming town centre. Lots of places to visit in the area and plenty of coffee shops and tea rooms to visit after a day sightseeing. Parking is limited but with 5 cars, we managed to park 3 outside and offroad at the cottage and sufficient space locally to park the other two. Excellent welcome pack awaited us with all the essentials before having to visit the local Sainsburys, just a 5 minute walk away!! Would definitely recommend a visit to this cottage - the bedroom in the roof space is like a sanctuary away from the rest of your group!!
“This was really good, if not perfect” what a great stay we had in one of Nicky Woods beautiful log cabins in Pewsey.
We were with 4 people, 2 adults & 2 kids so the spacious bedrooms were great. Also having 2 bathrooms is excellent. The kitchen and livingroom are big and the whole place is nicely decorated. We felt at home right away. Although it was october we had some nice & sunny days, also some cold and rainy nights. No worries there either. The cabin was warmed up to a cosy place really fast.
The cabin and surroundings with the water in front and the Canal nearby are really worthwhile.
This, together with beautiful Pewsey Vale and the many sights to visit made it one of the best weeks we ever spent in the UK.
“You'll want to come back! Five star farmhouse country chic.” We stayed two blissful tranquil weeks at Grove Farm and wished we could stay longer. Fabulous reception with little thoughtful welcome touches made us feel at home. The lovely wood stove for chilly nights in was delightful. Grove Lodge is superbly appointed; two lovely bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms, a little private yard for sitting outside and now for the best bit: Grove Farm is situated on the top of Box Hill with the most breathtaking country scenery as soon as you step out the front door and as far as the eye can see - all the way to the edges of Regency Bath in the distance (Bath city is a short car drive away if you fancy it). Be prepared to make the most of the area - take your walking shoes. The walks around Box Hill are some of the very best country walks. There are all the necessary amenities nearby and some quaint pubs and restaurants worth a visit too. The hosts - Giles and Fiona are exceptional. Super friendly, professional, ever so helpful and full of information if you desire local knowledge. You will not be disappointed. Loved every moment of our stay. Hope to go back again next year.
“Breathtaking” We stayed at Grovebarn in late January for a long weekend. Giles & Fiona had recommended the barn as an alternative to their other lodges that were booked on the dates we required. The barn was out of this world. Beautifully presented in an idillic location. Touches like fresh eggs from their hens along with the essentials, made our stay that little more memorable.
Giles & Fiona provided great communication, with recommendations of what to see and do. We could not fault a thing about our stay and will most defiantly be returning. This barn has everything you need for a holiday break away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Great pubs and restaurants near by, with a short bus ride into Bath town centre.
We spent most evenings in front of the wood burning fire after long days taking in the sites of Bath. This barn has beautifully decorated bedrooms all on suite, with a split level lounge area. The upper section of the barn, perfect for relaxing whilst looking over the town, with the lower floor, with a dining area and TV room with access directly onto private grounds, including private parking.

Hill view cottage
We was very impressed with the cottage, clean bright and very well equipped. We had a great week and the weather was kind to us. I think anyone with mobility problems could find it difficult as very hilly although because of that it has fabulous views.
The only disappointment was there was no garden to enjoy the beautiful weather. …
Three Bedroom 17th Century Farm Cottage
Lovely stay in a beautiful home.
We had a fabulous time at Tuckingmill Farm. Good facilities, clean, stylish and within easy walking distance of Tisbury. It has lovely spacious bedrooms and great character downstairs. We felt like we were house guests rather than renting a cottage as it is so comfortable and homely. It was nice to find beautiful dog-friendly accommodation. The outside eating area is a great sun trap and we were able to enjoy it with the lovely weather. Highly recommended and we would stay again. …
Holiday Cottage Near Bath
Lovely stay in a well equipped cottage, sofa bed a little uncomfortable and the oven needed a good clean but other than that we found the accommodation to be very pleasing. Had an excellent meal in the pub on our first night, very friendly & welcoming staff- great service. Enjoyed drinks and a game of Boule on our second night. Great outdoor area for enjoying a sundowner at the end of the day. All up, a most enjoyable stay! …
Old Orchard Cottage
There were 3 of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay here. It was a last minute booking but a great find especially for us as we had to visit family in the same village. It was as the photos show,a traditional place ,but the space there was perfect for us, especially the outdoor space, and we used the gas barbecue on 3 occasions. Owners were next door and very friendly and helpful for any queries. We would definitely stay again if we were in the same situation. Thanks Penny and Chris, relaxing and restful holiday …
Lovely village location
Comfortable, self-contained studio, with everything needed for a few days stay. Lots of great historical places to visit in the area, such as: Winchester – what a great Cathedral, Petersfield – where there was a market square display of vintage bicycles, motor bikes and cars. Stonehenge, fantastic place! The Australian Rising Sun at Codford and the Fovant Badges, Australian and New Zealand war graves, these are great for all of us to see as they are our history, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Took the car on the ferry over to the Isle of Wight and had a drive around. Well worth the trip! …
Fabulous in every way
Looking for a holiday nearer home, we stumbled across Willowbank lodges. We have some special needs because Dad is disabled, so I called Nicky to discuss his needs. She was incredibly accommodating and very informative about the lodge and surrounds, so we booked. When we arrived, we found a piece of heaven! The lodge was beautiful, comfortable and decked out like a home from home. It really made us feel welcome and relaxed. The site is idyllic. What better way is there to wake up in the morning surrounded by green, with a lovely view of the lake. There is a wonderfully spacious balcony, ideal for watching the swans and their cygnets feeding, or napping, and the herons coming in for a daily feed. It's quiet and peaceful. Although we're the kind of family that likes to explore, and there is plenty to explore nearby, we were also really happy to just chill in this relaxing and heavenly spot. We will be back, again and again! Thanks to Nicky for giving us a new home away from home. …
