“Fantastic home from home!” We had an amazing short stay with our toddlers to visit longleat safari and found this hidden gem which we will certainly be rebooking again! We had the most friendliest welcome that felt like we had come to stay with family! Bridget and Robert the owners baked a cake that was waiting for us (really nice as was my husbands birthday too, which they didn’t know) ...every item we would hope for was already there even though it’s self catering...tea bags, milk, washing up liquid, coffee, oil, toilet roll, all utensils (home from home, so much to list but things you always forget!) ...they gave us full privacy but text in the morning to say no rush to check out plus offers to get us anything else we needed...very homely modern charming place to stay with the best quality thank you very much Barbara
“This was really good, if not perfect” what a great stay we had in one of Nicky Woods beautiful log cabins in Pewsey.
We were with 4 people, 2 adults & 2 kids so the spacious bedrooms were great. Also having 2 bathrooms is excellent. The kitchen and livingroom are big and the whole place is nicely decorated. We felt at home right away. Although it was october we had some nice & sunny days, also some cold and rainy nights. No worries there either. The cabin was warmed up to a cosy place really fast.
The cabin and surroundings with the water in front and the Canal nearby are really worthwhile.
This, together with beautiful Pewsey Vale and the many sights to visit made it one of the best weeks we ever spent in the UK.
“Beautiful property and great location” Three of us stayed for nearly a week in this lovely home: the renovations of the old coach house have been sensitively and practically completed so that it has a comfortable, even luxurious feel. The beds and bedding are of very good quality, the bathrooms clean and large, and the views are spectacular. We cooked for ourselves in the well stocked kitchen. Using this as a base, we visited many of the beautiful little villages nearby, and the significant sites. Fiona made us very welcome. I could not recommend this place more highly.
“Weekend Break” I took my partner to The Fox / Reading Room for a couple of days to celebrate her birthday and to take the opportunity to propose. We had lunch and a dinner at The Fox which was superb in every way. We were treated as ' being special ' ; and that was by all the management and staff. Then there was the food: this was exemplary and was one of the best meals we have ever had.
The Reading Room was excellent too; atmosphere, furnishings and fixtures were to a very high standard ( more advice on using the DVD player would help ). And the ' welcome pack ' was a useful and satisfactory addition.
“Breathtaking” We stayed at Grovebarn in late January for a long weekend. Giles & Fiona had recommended the barn as an alternative to their other lodges that were booked on the dates we required. The barn was out of this world. Beautifully presented in an idillic location. Touches like fresh eggs from their hens along with the essentials, made our stay that little more memorable.
Giles & Fiona provided great communication, with recommendations of what to see and do. We could not fault a thing about our stay and will most defiantly be returning. This barn has everything you need for a holiday break away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Great pubs and restaurants near by, with a short bus ride into Bath town centre.
We spent most evenings in front of the wood burning fire after long days taking in the sites of Bath. This barn has beautifully decorated bedrooms all on suite, with a split level lounge area. The upper section of the barn, perfect for relaxing whilst looking over the town, with the lower floor, with a dining area and TV room with access directly onto private grounds, including private parking.
“You'll want to come back! Five star farmhouse country chic.” We stayed two blissful tranquil weeks at Grove Farm and wished we could stay longer. Fabulous reception with little thoughtful welcome touches made us feel at home. The lovely wood stove for chilly nights in was delightful. Grove Lodge is superbly appointed; two lovely bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms, a little private yard for sitting outside and now for the best bit: Grove Farm is situated on the top of Box Hill with the most breathtaking country scenery as soon as you step out the front door and as far as the eye can see - all the way to the edges of Regency Bath in the distance (Bath city is a short car drive away if you fancy it). Be prepared to make the most of the area - take your walking shoes. The walks around Box Hill are some of the very best country walks. There are all the necessary amenities nearby and some quaint pubs and restaurants worth a visit too. The hosts - Giles and Fiona are exceptional. Super friendly, professional, ever so helpful and full of information if you desire local knowledge. You will not be disappointed. Loved every moment of our stay. Hope to go back again next year.
“Lovely, well presented cottage” We booked the cottage for two nights for my brothers wedding for me,my girlfriend and four of are friends, and it was everything we expected and more, the pictures don't really do it justice, the rooms are a lot bigger than I thought they would be and the house had everything you could need and more, the two TVS where a bonus when us boys wanted to watch the gp on the Sunday lol, lovely cottage in a lovely little village would recommend to anyone going to Tisbury, thanks for having us.
“Lovely lodge in a beautiful location and pet friendly” We stayed for one week and found the Kingfisher Lodge very comfortable, warm and welcoming and the covered veranda a big plus with the unpridictable english weather. Lovely that the owner has made attention to detail i,e having comfy outdoor furniture so you can enjoy watching the wildlife in peace and quiet.
We cannot recommend this lodge enough and will be returning again soon. Ollie the cocker spaniel loved it too especially the walks along the canal.
“Fabulous weekend getaway” Cabin was fully kitted out and furnished to a high standard. Location was great as felt like you were in the middle of nowhere however all the amenities you needed in a few minutes drive. Several pubs and nice places to eat out within a short drive. Loads of chances for walking, however the weather was slightly too cold when we went and canal was very muddy due to the sheer amount of rain. Beautiful countryside and very amenable host. Good value for money.
“Mrs” Our party of 5 had a very pleasant couple of days at Jobs Mill Cottage. The owners Iain and Silvy were very accommodating and we couldn't have asked for a nicer setting. It was the epitome of everything English. Would definitely recommend. Only fault was upstairs toilet took a long time to flush and downstairs toilet was a bit wobbly. Thanks for a memorable visit.

The studio is in an ideal location, 15 minutes easy walking into Bradford on Avon centre. Little Maunditts Cottage
A great cottage in the heart of Sherston village
We had a great stage in the cottage. The layout ideally suited our party. The large lounge-kitchen-dinner was good and it was handy to have another separate lounge as well. The location in the village was good with a well stocked shop only a couple of minutes away on foot. We had occasion to use the Tolsey Sergery in Sherston and found them very helpful. There are many places to visit locally and we didn't get round them all so I expect we will visit again. …
Delightful Barn Conversion
Curlew Cottage was delightful and perfect for our week away. The location was exactly what we were looking for, surrounded by open countryside, yet within walking distance of local pubs and shops.
The property is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The Underfloor heating was very efficient, keeping the temperature just right and having a decent sized TV and WI-FI with good bandwidth was a real bonus for evenings in.
The views from the cottage were impressive, with big skies in all directions. We love walking and with the ridgeway only a field away we were able to walk to several local villages and historic sites straight from the door.
We were fortunate with the late summer weather and had a really great week. We are looking forward to our next visit. …
