“Simply breathtaking, a view that's priceless and you won't be di” We have stayed in this wonderful, cosy and luxurious cottage twice in three months and already want to return. We arrived to find the log burner roaring with the sound of crackling wood, the table laid for dinner and a bottle of complimentary wine ready to pop open. A selection of cakes in the tin to have with a welcoming cup of tea and if you're partial to a tipple, a decanter of home made black currant vodka. All of this and more to make your stay a special one. Fiona and Malcolm really have thought of everything including hot water bottles, a bag for life so there's no need to buy one and lots of homely touches like tea lights... Every bedroom is warm, clean and have wonderful shutter windows but out of the very same windows is the most outstanding view of Tintern abbey. Early morning it's draped with fog and by night lit up in all it's glory, it does make you imagine what life would have been like so many years ago... Also supplied is a variety of maps for those who like to venture out on foot but for us this stay was to relax and so the menu's of local pubs and restaurants and more importantly how to use the whirlpool spa bath was much more inviting. Staying here is a quiet yet very homely sanctuary away from al the hustle and bustle and we can't wait to return. Fantastic!

“Glorious in Gower!” We, (eight people) stayed at Crwys Farm from the 20th to the 28th Aug. 2016. The Old Barn was a home from home. It was very comfortable, extremely well equipped (the kitechen area had everything required for a fully self catering holiday) in a way that was clearly well thought out, and was laid out inside in a way that was on first sight spectacular. We have stayed over the years in a number of places, but this was one of the very few that we actually looked forward to going back to. There was only one issue that we encountered, and that was car parking had not been adequately organised, although this was a minor point as we found parking space directly adjacent to the property. With regard to its location, on only two days of our seven did we have to travel more than 30 minutes before we reached our destination for the day, and with the Gower Peninsula as it is, we could have spent the entire holiday and more not having to spend more than this on a daily basis in a car. Although we went at the height of the season, what we payed amounted to only about 28 pounds/night, so for a large family with a liking for the outdoors, the countryside and the coast, I can heartily recommend the Oak Barn.

“beautiful cottage to stay” Five of us plus my dog stayed 4 nights to walk Wye Valley walk, April 15th-19th The cottage is lovely, beautifully decorated. After walking all day it was great to relax in the hot tub! We had a very warm welcome with wine, blackcurrant vodka and flowers.
