Perched above the village in a secluded garden, with fields on 3 sides, Eastern Lee offers peaceful and spacious accommodation within 2 miles of Yarmouth with its harbour, restaurants and pubs. Beaches are 3 miles away.

New for 2014: since autumn gales uprooted our marcrocarpa trees there is now fencing and side gate preventing children and dogs from accessing the road.

Originally built in 1931, Eastern Lee has been extended and refurbished to luxury 21st century standards using a ground source heat pump and environmentally friendly technology. Groundfloor bedrooms and bathroom are wheelchair accessible and offer accommodation to those not wanting stairs. Upstairs 2 en suite bedrooms allow 3 generations or families privacy whilst sharing living spaces. WiFi available

There is a variety of beaches within easy reach by car, bus or bike. The house is ideally placed for sailing, fishing, golf, cycling, visits to English Heritage properties...and relaxing. Footpaths pass within 50m of the house joining the Hamstead Trail, enabling visitors to explore Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coastline. Walks along the south coast 3 miles away offer chances to find fossils and dinosaur footprints. Low light pollution and wide views give great opportunities to observe the night sky.

Yarmouth, Isle of Wight

Yarmouth is located on the western side of the Island at the mouth of the Yar estuary. The historic little town has grown as a result of its natural harbour, guarded by Yarmouth Castle, built by Henry VIII in 1547 The harbour attracts international yachts and motor cruisers, whose crews take advantage of the moorings to enjoy the lively range of shops, and places to eat and drink in the town. Annual festivals such as 'Old Gaffers weekend' bring extra interest and fun. Wightlink Ferries dock here from Lymington, after a crossing of just under half an hour.

The picturesque narrow streets and town square are lined by flower decked shops and pubs; restaurants range from Michelin star quality through family-friendly pubs to cafes with outside tables for celebrating fine weather late into the evening, many meals having an emphasis on local produce and freshly caught fish.
