Poundgate Park is a beautiful two bedroom holiday home for four people. Set in an Edwardian walled garden enjoying a private patio and decking area and large area of lawn with an orchard and mature trees.

The rooms have glorious garden views or far reaching views of rolling hills and the South Downs.

The property adjoins the owners' property and backs onto the owners' 5 acre gardens including a woodland and duck pond (unfenced).

Just across the road is Ashdown Forest with excellent opportunities for walking, picnics and horse riding. There is a character pub/restaurant opposite with open fires in winter.

"Wonderful region, beautiful cottage, very nice owners"

We have stayed at Poundgate Park twice in the last 6 months. It was fantastic!!! And we will definitely go back again. East Sussex is a wonderful region, there is so much to discover and enjoy in the countryside and on top of that, London isn't far away. The cottage is really beautiful and was lovingly renovated last Autumn. It is well located, you need a car but you have everything you need nearby and also a great pub across the road. The owners are very nice, helpful and kind. The cottage is attached to their house but you can enjoy the privacy, it has a separate entrance, own front door and terrace. The garden is enormous and very beautiful, the pond and the duck family complete the splendid view. We had everything we need at the cottage, the perfect size for 4 people comfortable bedrooms, a modern and well appointed kitchen, a wonderful bathroom and a cuddly lounge. It is decorated beautifully and also useful. We would highly recommended Poundgate Park, the cottage is perfect and especially because of the owners, they made us feel welcome, meeting Liesha and her family was a wonderful experience for us.

"Really nice cottage, great garden"

We stayed at Poundgate for 2 weeks. The cottage is perfect, done up to a high standard (actually looks even better than the photos). The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is very good, has a mini dishwasher, and the walk in shower great. The garden is very beautiful and even in winter, the children enjoyed playing in it. The location is good, with shops near by, and although you need a car, there are good links to visit the region. To top it off, the owners are really nice, very helpful when you need them, but otherwise very discreet. Thank you again Liesha!

"Great cottage and location - perfect for what we wanted. We'll be back!"

We have just returned from a week at Poundgate Park and it was terrific. The cottage is attached to the owners' home but you would never know it. You have your own entrance to the garden and your own front door - you can't see their home and you feel like you are walking into a secret garden. The cottage is nicely done and was a perfect size for our family of three plus a small dog. It had absolutely everything we needed (tho' the iron was a bit temperamental...but then so am I when ironing!), and it was just lovely to sit out in the evenings and watch our daughter playing on the slide. The owners are lovely and made us feel welcome but did not intrude on our privacy...even their elderly dog made friends with ours! The only thing that some people might see as a downside was the fact that the entrance to the garden is on a busy road but we genuinely did not hear it once we were in the garden and certainly not in the cottage. The upside was easy access and a great pub across the road. We would thoroughly recommend Poundgate Park and indeed will be going back next year!
