From the owner

A cosy terraced cottage 4 miles from Ennerdale, with private residents' access onto the Whitehaven to Ennerdale cycle path. Ideal for walking with children or dogs as no motorised vehicles are permitted.

We actively welcome children and can provide a cot, high chair, baby bath, potty and toddler step at no extra cost. You will even find toddler crockery and cutlery in the kitchen, and an integral toddler toilet seat in the bathroom! Do not despair if it is raining, as the Welsh dresser in the sitting room houses a selection of children's games, jigsaws and paper & pencils. We also welcome up to 2 dogs at a surcharge of £15 per dog, per stay.

The cottage sleeps 4+cot in two bedrooms. The front bedroom can be configured as either a king size (5ft) bed or as 2 small twin (2ft 6) beds. The rear bedroom sleeps 2 in a pine double (4ft 6) bed.

The sitting/dining room is comfortably furnished with a 2 seater settee, 2 armchairs, table and 4 dining chairs, Welsh dresser, Freeview TV, free wi-fi, and an electric 'log burner'.

The family bathroom has a bath (with shower over). The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave and washing machine.

There is off road parking to the front of the property and an enclosed garden with decking area to the rear.

All linens, towels and bedding are included in the rental price. (Please bring your own Cot bedding and towels for the beach.)

All gas and electricity is included in the rental price as well as complimentary toiletries. As there are steps to the front and back doors, both bedrooms are situated upstairs, and there are several steps in the garden, 18 Parkside may not be suitable for guests with decreased mobility. 18 Parkside is strictly no smoking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alison (the owner) a message.

If Alison (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
