Description

One of six charming self-catering converted houses in the grounds of Pekes Manor, The Wing was originally built as a cow-shed but was converted in 1911 to make a drawing room and library for the main house. It has its own entrance and a very nice private column garden.

The Wing covers a large area, the walls are pale yellow, the floors polished parquet, and the ceilings domed. The whole effect is very striking with mahogany doors and an elegant fireplace.The furnishings are attractive with ‘Laura Ashley’ style prints and comfortable chairs. Generally it has an ‘Edwardian’ atmosphere of elegance.

The rooms are all interconnecting, so it is most suitable for close family and friends (ideal for parents & children). The main double bedroom is private while the other beds are tucked into spaces in the lining accommodation. These consist of a double let-down bed and two single beds.

Pekes Houses in East Sussex, situated 10 miles inland from the sea, is within easy driving distance of Brighton, Eastbourne and Lewes. A private estate up a drive of 350 yards with unspoilt views of the countryside, Pekes offers unique self-catering holidays in a very tranquil rural setting. The facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, lawn badminton, hard Macadam style tennis court and extensive gardens & park.

Included are central heating and hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, and all linen, towels and cleaning.
