"A beautiful appointed and maintained property set in stunning gardens"

A beautiful converted chapel, with many original features and extensive garden to the rear of the property complete with summerhouse and stream. The chapel has a well equipped kitchen and utility room complete with washer, dryer, dishwasher large fridge freezer and all important wine/beer fridge. There are 4 generous sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with excellent facilities. They have thought of most things to make your stay a pleasurable one, they have an extensive supply of up to date DVD's and a good CD collection. There is a log burner in the lounge and a plentiful supply of logs complete with operating instructions. The garage has been converted into a games room and ideal for older children in warmer weather. The beds are made up for your arrival and all the bedding is of excellent quality and so are the towels it is a pleasure to stay there. We have just had our third stay at the chapel and look forward to another relaxing visit next year.

This was the most relaxing holiday we have ever taken. The Chapel is an amazing place to stay. We all had a great time in the garden and games room. The pool table was great fun. The chapel is a very comfortable property with everything you could possibly need. The internet connection is very slow and mobile reception is none existent but if you are wanting a relaxing holiday then that is what you want.

Thaks for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay at The Old Chapel, The BT Broadband is slow but that's what rural communites have to put up with, BT don't invest a great deal in rural communities even though we pay the same rate, Mobile/Cell reception is the same although you do get good reception with O2

"A wonderful accommodation; fantastic house, huge gorgeous garden, brilliant amenities, accommodating owners"

We had a lovely family 2 week stay. We all had a fantastic time including the young children. The house is five star with all amenities you can think of. The owners have thought of everything down to the reading glasses!! The real grab here is the beautifully maintained huge garden with a stream;so peaceful. They also have a games room which the kids loved. The owners were a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend!

"Fabulous Cottage"

Our group included 8 people: 4 adults and 4 children (6-8 years old). The cottage is comfortable and has everything needed for a very enjoyable stay. We kept being surprised of how mindful the owners are of the cottage guests: you can even find a drawer with spare reading glasses, in case you forgot yours! The cottage has four good size and comfortable rooms, two bathrooms on the same floor as the bedroom plus a toilet room on the ground floor. Large kitchen with everything needed. Big and confortable living room with a fire place we have used every day given the cold weather. The house has a very impressive collection of DVDs, CDs and video games. There is WiFi in the cottage. There is also a separate game room with football table, pool table, pinball machine, etc. We expected a big garden, but it was even bigger and nicer than what we expected, and it even has a garden hut. The children had a great time playing outdoors, notwithstanding the very cold weather. The cottage is in a small and very quite little village. The owners provided very useful directions for pubs and supermarkets. The cottage is optimally located to explore the Hadrian's Wall and its forts. We all loved staying at the Old Country Chapel and highly recommend it.
