“A gem in the heart of Nottinghamshire” Beautiful traditional accommodation set in the heart of Sherwood Forest. A home from home. The cottages are wonderfully nostalgic and beautifully furnished and provide the base for a comfortable holiday. The garden provides a relaxed external environment perfect for a sunny afternoon lounge and BBQ. Perfect versatility for small families or large groups. Edwinstowe has a lot to offer with Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak right on the door step within a 10 minute walk. Perfect for families or couples wanting to explore the local woodland and fair ground. Within a very short drive are swimming pool facilities and Rufford Country Park.
Totally relaxing weekend, my family didn't want to leave. 10/10 Many thanks!
“[--]Delightful Cottage with character in quiet location[--]” "Teversal Manor Cottage is a wonderful place for a break with friends and family but you should also consider it for longer if you need to be based in the area for longer. I can highly recommend it as self catering accommodation for the discerning business traveller working on short term contracts who wants the space and facilities beyond that which can be offered in hotel accommodation. I was fortunate enough to be working in the area for a number of weeks and was delighted to secure a stay in the cottage. It has a very well stocked beautiful farmhouse kitchen, efficient wifi and a cosy living space which was just what I needed. I particularly loved the master bedroom providing wonderful views and the characterful bathroom. It is peaceful, well located near networks and the countryside and really home from home in the thoughtful comforts provided. The staff running the business were so helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thank you"
“Fabulous Stay” This is a gorgeous cottage that has been beautifully and luxuriously refurbished whilst retaing all its original character. The two lounges are spacious and comfortable, the best feature being a wood fire in both! We especially liked the fact that all the wood and firelighters are complimentary. The tiny stairs up to the 1st floor are very quaint but one needs to be careful on them! The main double and twin bedrooms are very spacious, the second double a little on the small side, but all extremely comfortable with lovely linens and duvets. The bathroom is large and very luxurious with a roll top bath, and separate shower. Kitchen and dining area are a good size and very well equiped with everything one would require and more. There is a donwstairs shower and loo - complete with sauna, which unfortunately we didn't get round to using. The garden and patio is very pretty and we were lucky enough to have good weather and had a BBQ on one evening. The Red Lion pub over the road is great with a lovely cosy atmophere and good food. We had a fabulous time at the White Horse Cottage and highly recommend staying there. We hope to return.
“Great lil home” Great little cottage. Heated under flooring throughout. Full panoramic patio doors with a lovely garden for the doggie to run around in. Close to sherwood forest for forest walks. Everuthing about this cottage was fab! Thanks
“Great location, fantastic cottage & great hosts, Simply Perfect.” Louise greeted us on arrival and showed us round the cottage, the property had everything you need for a holiday stay and represents fantastic value for money. The location was perfect for our needs and we had great days out to Lincoln ( 20 Minutes drive ), Skegness ( 1 Hour 20 Minutes Drive ), Sherwood Forest (30 Minutes Drive) Melton Mowbray & Rutland Lake ( about 1 hour ). So much to do and so little time. We will certainly return. A big THANK YOU to Louise & Dean for a lovely stay.
“Cosy, beautifully furnished cottage, and a warm welcome.” My elderly father and I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. The owner, Debbie, made us very welcome. Our anxieties that storage heaters might not suffice in the UK autumn were completely unfounded, and all rooms were very cosy. The property was in an excellent state of repair, with stylish furnishings and a fabulous collection of books. The chickens, dogs and horses were an added attraction.
“Excellent accomodation” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the owners are lovely, the location is great, we were very comfortable in Friars Lodge which is clean, modern, and has finishing touches which really impressed us - miniature toiletries, a bottle of milk, biscuits and best of all chocolate! The owners even gave us some eggs provided by their own chickens. The chickens visited us one morning pecking on the lounge window, we enjoyed their company while we ate our breakfast. The village has shops, places to eat and everybody we spoke to in the village was friendly. We found the lodge quiet and relaxing. It would be perfect for anyone.
“Beautiful little place, right on binghams door step” Great little place as a base for my parents & sister visiting from Australia. They needed some where to stop as my place here in England wasn't big enough for 5 adults. This was perfect as was only down the road from my own place. Everything went smoothly with transfering payment and getting the keys. Both the owner of the property and the lady who looks after it were lovely. Perfect location for walking into Bingham to get little bits & pieces and my parents really liked the chinese restaurant. Parking was good, we were always able to park on the street, which really helped. I even stayed here myself with my parents & sister the night before my wedding and got ready here, the photographer got some lovely shots in the kitchen and lounge room. My parents would love to stay here again when they next visit, they really liked it.
