“Perfect place to stay and explore” Walter's cottage was a perfect place to stay and explore an area so often overlooked. Ideal for Leicester, Derby, Southwell and various NT houses plus local walks and loads of good pubs, including the Plough in Wysall. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed and Debbi made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Really comfy bed, light and airy throughout and kitchen area with all mod-cons. Lovely to have real coffee provided as well as tea, sugar and milk. Thank you for a great holiday!
“High spec, opening plan, living;dining and kitchen in a quite Peaceful country setting.” Lovely hosts, Louise n Dean friendly and knowledgeable about surrounding area.
GREAT place for families with small children. Peaceful, cottage, clean with shower now bath, great open plan living. Very comfortable beds, highly recommend this place.
“Beautiful home and fantastic stay!” Visited with a group of 14 for a weekend away. The house was much bigger than we expected and beautifully decorated. The facilities are great - we made good use of the hot tub and snooker table! Abi was lovely and welcoming and popped round after we'd arrived to check everything was ok. Other than that we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed a fantastic lazy weekend. We would definitely recommend and fully intend to go back when we fancy another break.
“Great venue for a hen weekend!” We had a great stay here for my sister's hen weekend! There are two cottages that have a door adjoining them which was great! All the rooms were very beautiful and the beds were really comfortable.
The only thing is that it was about a 30-40 minute drive to the centre of Nottingham, and c. £30+ for a taxi back to the station! Hopefully most people will have cars though (and Wayne gave us car parking permits for us to use).
Thanks for a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend!

THE GRANARY, ground floor apartment, en-suite, WiFi, plenty of walking
Quality accommodation and really friendly, helpful hosts.
Booked at the last minute as there was a window of availability. Contacted the owner by phone prior to arriving, (much earlier than normal check in time) after booking which was pre agreed without any issue. ‘The Granary’ is on a working farm in the small village of Askham. It’s a great place to get away from it all but equally it’s easy to get to places to visit if you want. The standard of accommodation is really very well done and creates a cosy, traditional yet contemporary feel. Everything we needed to cook was there. There’s even friendly cats, a dog a donkey and some sheep, so if you live animals it’s all here. We were very comfortable during our stay and would highly recommend Orchard Hill Farm to anyone seeking a lovely friendly place to stay. …
Manor Farm, Nottinghamshire

Rosehip Period Cottage, Bingham, Nottinghamshire"
The most well equip cottage I have ever stayed in.
The location of the cottage was about 100 metres from the town centre. There was everything you could possibly need, from shops, take-always (every food type you could wish for), pubs with real ale. The cottage was old (about over 200 years) the kitchen was new but done in an old style, washer/dryer, full cooker, fridge freezer and microwave. It was so well equipt. The bedrooms were amazingly large and the beds were so comfortable. The bathroom, small but perfectly formed. The Art Deco chairs in the sitting room were just lovely, we are antique freaks so they were a real treat. The only down side was there wasn’t enough comfortable seating for 4 of us. We were on holiday so that didn’t matter too much. We would certainly go again! …
