“Perfect place to stay and explore” Walter's cottage was a perfect place to stay and explore an area so often overlooked. Ideal for Leicester, Derby, Southwell and various NT houses plus local walks and loads of good pubs, including the Plough in Wysall. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed and Debbi made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Really comfy bed, light and airy throughout and kitchen area with all mod-cons. Lovely to have real coffee provided as well as tea, sugar and milk. Thank you for a great holiday!

“Great venue for a hen weekend!” We had a great stay here for my sister's hen weekend! There are two cottages that have a door adjoining them which was great! All the rooms were very beautiful and the beds were really comfortable.
The only thing is that it was about a 30-40 minute drive to the centre of Nottingham, and c. £30+ for a taxi back to the station! Hopefully most people will have cars though (and Wayne gave us car parking permits for us to use).
Thanks for a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend!

Little John's Petite Cosy Cabin
Ideal hideaway retreat
We have stayed in similar ‘cabins’ elsewhere and this petite cabin was just as good. It’s certainly cosy but with just about everything provided that we could need we enjoyed a lovely 3 day break here. The bed was very comfortable and the linen and towels all high quality. The cabin was spotlessly clean and the little shower room absolutely fine. The shower was hot and powerful which makes all the difference.
We walked along the road to eat in a local pub and had a great evening. There’s also a very good Indian within half a mile or so and local shops providing all we needed.
Debbie, our host, kept in touch via text but there was nothing we needed to ask her for. …

Goog cottage and good location
The cottage was very good, it was well equipped and very comfortable. It was warm and cosy in the cold evenings. The welcome goods left for us were very appreciated The location was very peaceful and the orchard (which was secure for our dog ) was a great asset. Ian and Jean (owners ) were friendly and helpful. All though rural in location it was easy to get to local towns and villages (I.e. Newark which was about four miles where you can also access the A1 to get to towns like Stamford and city's like Lincoln and Peterborough we would visit again. …
