“Luxurious holiday home ideal for short break” This holiday home far exceeded all our expectations. Once inside, we felt instantly comfortable and relaxed. Beautifully clean throughout, plenty of room, comfortable sofa and bed, hot tub outside and car parking. Very quiet in the evenings and therefore able to sleep well all night.
With Lincoln city centre only five miles away, we enjoyed visiting the Cathedral and Castle.
We have recommended Church Farm Cottage to all of our friends and family, and would certainly consider visiting again.
“Beautiful house close to the cathederal” This beautifully decorated and well equipped house is only a few minutes walk from the castle and cathedral on very quiet road with easy parking.
Everything you could need is provided with a nice welcome pack as well as milk, tea, coffee and sugar.
Louise was there to meet us and gave an excellent introduction the the property and the area.
The only drawback might the the steep stairs if you have significant mobility problems, but there is a downstairs' cloakroom, so not to many trips up the steep stairs.
“Perfect little hideaway” This was our first visit to Lincoln and we could not have found a better cottage. Situated as it is off Steep Hill it is in the perfect location to explore the Cathedral Quarter. The cottage is equipped and presented to the very highest standard many thoughtful touches meaning that you want for nothing. Finally I must also mention the warm and friendly welcome from Charles on our arrival, a perfect host!
“GREAT location - easy walking distance to cathedral, shops, restaurants” the only small issues i had were with intermittent wireless, and the fact it was a bit noisy in the late evening when people came out of the pub!
bedrooms are small but cozy and warm. (there are 2 bedrooms - both with double beds - not much extra room for a cot, so expect to sleep 4 realistically ). lots of hot water. kitchen nicely self-contained. clean rooms.
“Really super holiday let.” Stayed here for just 2 nights with my adult daughter. We both wished it could have been for longer. This is a perfect holiday cottage situated in a village . We had a quiet and relaxing time. The barn conversion accomodation is both well lit, airy and cosy. It has a downstairs bedroom (with 2 comfy single beds) with easy access to the downstairs wet room and toilet Towels and bathrobes were provided. The downstairs kitchen is really well equipped and includes a dishwasher. The sitting area has 2 comfy sofas. Although there is central heating there's a wood burning stove as well. We didn't need either as the weather was warm. Upstairs is the dining table and chairs on a landing area. Then a door to the main bedroom with king size bed. There's a free standing bath in the bedroom (on a slightly raised area) and a separate loo /wash basin room. We thoroughly recommend this holiday let. Owner Karen and her husband were very friendly but not intrusive. We were left a welcome pack with milk in the fridge, loaf of bread, butter pats, breakfast cereal for the first morning and tea, coffee and biscuits. Best of all was the home made lemon drizzle cake. Yummy! Probably the best holiday cottage I have ever rented for attention to detail to make guests really comfortable.
“Short break at Burton Waters.” Myself and two friends stayed at 5,Marine Walk for two nights . The 3 storey house was wonderful ,it was clean ,nicely furnished and well equipped with great views over the Marina . Also being a gated community was very secure and easy to get in and out . There is plenty to do at Burton Waters ,there are two pubs and two restaurants plus a small Bistro open in the day . The only downside was that most of them close on Mondays ,however Woodcock's ,the Marston's pub opened and they do a two for one menu. The second night we are at the Laguna Verde restaurant ,this was very nice ,food was great and we also had a voucher we could use . There are also nice walks in the area and it's a short ride into Lincoln . We also had breakfast at the deli on the Marina ,which again was very tasty . Lynn the owner has been the perfect host and let us have the keys a few hours early ,she constantly kept in touch and left a welcome gift if wine and crisps . We will definitely be visiting again during the summer months so we can enjoy the outside space .

Luxury & Comfort 200 yards from the Historic Cathedral Quarter of Lincoln
A colleague and I stayed at Cecil St. so we could visit the Cathedral and Castle. This was an ideal spot, easy walking to both with a great variety of restaurants and shops close. The house was incredibly comfortable, very well presented with everything we needed. Parking was easy and it was a very quiet street despite being so central. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and really hope to visit and stay there again. …
