“Lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful peaceful location.” Lovely comfortable, clean cottage in a beautiful peaceful location. Good sized living rooms and bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and fantastic shower with the added bonus of a small en-suite offering toilet and sink in the master bedroom. Great location for exploring the surrounding area with plenty of walks and easy access to tourist attractions. I would definitely recommend a stay here to family and friends.

“wonderful, clean cottage full of character, lovely and peaceful” Our first time at Butterfly Cottage but will definitely go back. Cottage was lovely and clean and full of character. Amenities were very good. Area is peaceful and very picturesque with some lovely walks. We received a warm welcome with lovely home made bread, delicious.

“Couldnt have picked a better time!” Well we certainly picked the best time to go when a mini heat wave hit so we made good use of the garden and summer house, we took our little picnic bar b q so we ate outside all the time, It was lovely sitting in the summer house watching all the wildlife so peaceful. Great location we walked to Noses point one day and drove the next day to the beach as decided it was too hot to walk!! Collected lots of sea glass and some rather interesting pieces too! We also went to Durham which is a lovely place to visit and not to far. The welcome hamper and the homemade bread was delicious we were very tempted to knock at the guesthouse for some more bread! Very good communication from Mick, would definitely recommend!

“Perfect place to visit County Durham” The cottage was ideal for our holiday, it was very clean and tidy everything was maintained to a very high standard really impressed. The owners Dot and Dave were very friendly and helpful and a mine of information about the area. Lots of places to visit the Beamish Museum was excellent as were the High and Low force waterfalls many enjoyable walks and of course Durham itself we would definitely use the cottage again when visiting the area.
