"Tired chalet."

Could do with a refresh in places to make it more welcome. It could of been cleaner on arrival, I had to mop the floors myself. There was no toilet roll and the towls that were left were slightly damp… More

Many thanks for your review, as the season has drawn to a close we have since had chance to redecorate, & refresh things. The chalet is always cleaned before every use, a toilet roll was left as it is for every guest, but we don't supply a weeks worth. We will take note on the linen comments and rectify this as we want our guests to be comfortable.

Cleanliness of accomadtion was poor. Badly needed airing, and cleaning . . Such a shame as ideal location . Lovely area. Chalet not disabled friendly, If you don't object to the smell of cigare… More

Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear about your 2 night stay. We do hope you enjoyed your complimentary bottle of wine that was left on arrival. The chalet is professionally cleaned at the beginning of each stay and we also take photographs after each clean which we will kindly let you see if we can have your email- so we were baffled that you say it was badly cleaned; can you be more specific and state what was not cleaned so we can investigate. All the beds were freshly made up the day before. The smell of smoke is also incorrect as we do not allow smoking in the chalet and on cleaning it the day before after a previous stay there was no smell of smoke the only thing we can think of is the newly fragranced drawer liners that went into the bedroom drawers. The chalet is easily accessible by a level walk from the parking area with no steps, but it is not advertised as disabled friendly so a comment about this is unnecessary. We believe the price of the chalet was very competitive for the standard and it indeed has been refurbished with just two more small areas to be painted the first was behind the newly installed towel heater which has some scuff marks from fitting and the second behind the TV some scuff marks . There are a couple of pen marks on the wall in the second bedroom which will need to be painted over?Could this be the unclean you refer to? The airing of the chalet in autumn/winter is tricky due to damper conditions in the environment but once in with the cosy log effect fire on, glass of wine in hand and the thermal curtains drawn it is indeed very snug at No.9 as all our previous guests can verify. We look forward to welcoming you again and assure you of our best intentions.
