Pucks Lodge

My husband, 3 dogs and I stayed in Puck's Lodge over Christmas 2015. We had a fantastic time. Bob and Shelagh had decorated the lodge with a tree and other Christmas decorations and left us a little Christmas gift, we felt very welcomed, they had even left some biscuits for our dogs! The facilities inside the lodge were excellent, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer were all very handy and there was no plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans etc. I found it easy to make a Christmas dinner with what was there. There is so much to do in the surrounding area, we were there for a week and we went on a different walk everyday and didn't come close to doing everything there is to do! There are tons of helpful leaflets in the lodge with information about what there is to do. The lodge is packed with games and TV, DVD player etc. which we enjoyed in the evenings. The whole area is extremely dog friendly and there are many safe walks for your furry friends. I would especially recommend the Puck's Glen walk, which you can access on foot from behind the lodge. The lodge itself is made extremely well, it's strong and you are well protected from the weather. It is well heated, we didn't feel cold at all in the time we were there. In all, this holiday was probably one of the best we have ever had. I have never seen my dogs as happy and content as they were at Puck's Lodge and my husband and I have never been somewhere as beautiful. Thank you Bob and Shelagh!see more
