Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Devon coastal village of Welcombe and North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Darracott Farm Cottage is a luxury single storey accommodation for the perfect holiday. The cottage is beautiful and provides comfort no matter what time of year. There is easy access to the two local beaches, stunning walks and within a minute's walk of The Old Smithy Inn and Welcombe Pottery.

The space

The cottage sits within Darracott Farm, a Devon smallholding. It is the perfect place for a wonderful holiday or getaway.

The cottage is all on one level making it ideal for those who don't wish to manage stairs. Underfloor heating is provided throughout the cottage and the temperature can be controlled separately in each room. The cottage has super-fast 400Mbps+ internet access.

The kitchen and dining area is well equipped with a modern kitchen containing integrated oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. If you would rather not cook, The Old Smithy Inn is a minute's walk away, and there are wide range of eateries in the local area serving locally sourced food from land and sea.

The living room has a 38" TV with Netflix and Chromecast TV, electric fireplace, relaxing armchairs and a cosy rocking couples seat. There is also a desk to sit and write at.

One bedroom has a king size bed with luxurious cotton bedding, 32" Freeview TV, en-suite shower room, dressing table and lots of built in wardrobe, drawer and storage space.

The second bedroom can either provide a king size bed or two three foot singles with luxurious cotton bedding. The bedroom also has a Freeview TV, en-suite shower room, dressing table and a wardrobe with hanging space and shelves.

Both en-suite shower rooms have a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, toilet, basin and additional storage.

There is additional hanging space in the entrance cupboard and shoe store. Just outside the kitchen is the laundry room with separate washing machine and tumble dryer.

The cottage is set in the North Devon Area of Outstanding Beauty and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. A variety of walks are available from the cottage including the dramatic coastal path, Marsland Nature Reserve, woodland and stunning Devon rolling countryside. Welcombe is on the county border so Cornwall is just a ten minute walk away for those who like jam on their scones first!

Darracott Farm is a smallholding where you will find a couple of friendly black pigs, Ant and Dec. You are very welcome to help feed them if you wish. Over the coming months additional animals will be coming to the farm including chickens. There is a grassed section of the farm for you to use with furniture for your private use. You are also welcome to walk around the farm but wellies are recommended and you will need to take care as the ground can be uneven.

The farm is developing as a herb farm. The herbs will be used to develop skincare products. We are very happy to show you around and explain latest developments. Once we begin to create skincare products, we will share samples with you to try.

Beyond Welcombe, our area of North Devon and Cornwall provides a wide range of interesting and exciting activities. Children will have great fun at the Milky Way and Big Sheep. The island of Lundy is a day trip from Bideford. The stunning cobbled coastal village of Clovelly in 20 minutes away (distance is measured in time here not miles!). We even have a Gnome Reserve in the local area - hats included!

How do damage deposits work?
