The house is located at the quietest end of one of Newquay's most sought after roads, It is built a stones throw from the old boat building quay, a place now popular for picnics and barbeques. The accommodation is spread over three floors and has the main living room and kitchen diner on the first floor where you benefit from the stunning views across the estuary. The open plan kitchen, dining room and day lounge offers a perfect place for everyone to socialise and eat, yet the house has enough space to offer privacy for all. Most rooms have modern flat screen TV's and there are both sunny front and back gardens with decks, patios and even a kids play house. There are stair gates in place to help create a safe environment for younger children.

The balcony is the perfect place to enjoy dining outside and tends to be an excellent sun trap. The house has four double bedrooms, three on the ground floor and one on the second floor. There are three family sized bathrooms and one shower room. One bath room has a whirlpool bath!

There is off road parking for four cars and pleanty of room to leave surfboards and bikes etc.

We do not rent the property to single sex groups or groups of young people.

One ground floor there are three double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, a shower room and a laundry room. Bedroom one has a king size double bed and a 3' bunk bed. It has a very large ensuite bathroom with corner bath and shower. Bedroom two is equipped with a king size double bed and a babies cot if required. Bedroom three has a two single beds but can be set up with three singles. Bedroom four has a double bed. There is a bathroom with large walk in shower. The laundry room is equipped with Miele washing machine and a tumble drier.

The first floor has a very large evening lounge with two comfortable three seater sofas, two arm chairs and a large plazma TV with skyplus, DVD and surround sound. The room is beautifully light and has outstanding views across the sandy estuary and towards the National Trust farmland beyond. There is also a family bathroom with a corner style spa bath and luxury marble basin.

The eight meter long open plan kitchen diner was refitted in 2010 with a solid walnut floor with under floor heating, a bespoke solid oak kitchen with black granite worktops and a large range oven. There is also an american style fridge freezer with cooled filtered water and an ice machine, a combination microwave and a stereo system. It also has two sofas and a TV DVD. For wine lovers there is a temperature controlled hot and cold fridge! There are double doors which open up on to the long south facing balcony which has a stylish round dining table and chairs and is a great place to enjoy dining outside yet offers shelter from the breeze.

The second floor has a large double bedroom (bedroom 5) with outstanding views across the estuary and beyond. It is fitted with a super king six foot wide bed and has an ensuite bathroom with corner bath. All of the bedrooms are large enough to accomodate a cot or temporary bed if required.

The front garden is mainly lawned but has a large decked area, a gas barbeque and a childrens play house.

In the back there is a another lawned area and a rustic covered dining table. There is a swing and slide for very young children.

The West Country region

Newquay is ideally located for those who wish to explore Cornwall's broad and varied places of interest. Ranging from fantastic sandy beaches to stunning sub tropical historical gardens and picturesque working harbours. Newquay is the perfect base from which to explore both north and south coast. The Eden Project is about a 20 minute drive and even a trip to Lands End is under an hour away. Padstow is about a 15 mile drive north up the beautiful Atlantic coast road or St Agnes and Perranporth are a similar distance in the opposite direction.

Cornwall has a large number of National Trust properties and English Heritage attractions. Lanhydrock House near Bodmin is a facinating time capsule, St Michael's Mount boasts an incredable location which is unique to this country and the castles of St Mawes and Pendennis are a must.

Newquay Airport offers a daily service in a small aircraft down the north coast to the stunning Isles of Scilly. The views from the journey are incredible as you fly over St Ives Habour, Lands End and beyond. This is a trip that we would recommend. Alternatively why not take the open top bus trip from St Ives to Lands End along the stunning coast road.

Newquay

Quay House is located on the shore of the beautiful Gannel Estuary. The Gannel is popular for walking, horse riding and even canoeing. At low tide it is possible to walk to Crantock Beach or Pentire Headland. Fistral Beach, the legendary home of British surfing, is about a 10 minute walk from the house and the town and harbour takes just a little longer.

The house is located in a very quiet area of Newquay, yet is within easy access of the town's shops, bars and restaurants. Family attractions including Newquay Zoo, the Tennis Centre and Water World Fun Pool are within easy walking distance, or if golf is of interest then Newquay's popular links golf course is close at hand.

For those who enjoy great food in stunning locations Jamie Oliver's restaurant, 15, is a few miles north at Watergate Bay, Rick Stein's seafood restaurant is in Padstow or our favourate, The Porthminster Cafe in St Ives!

As well as lots for adults there are a number of children's attractions close by including Dairy Land Farm, The Blue Reef Aquaririum, Crealy Adventure Park and Holywell Bay.

"What a fantastic place to stay!"

We went to Newquay as a large extended family(14) including very young children. The house was immaculate and we could not have asked for anything more, although the cream tea from the owners was a very good way to start the holiday.
It is only a short walk to the town centre and the beaches.
The setup of the bedrooms was perfect and meant that everyone had there own space and privacy.
We hope very much to return in the future after having a wonderful holiday in Cornwall.

"Highly Recommend!!!"

We were a group of 12 staying over the new year period at Quay House. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a well wished card from the landlord and 2 bottles of bubbles to celebrate bringing in the new year. The house was very spacious and had two very large separate living areas. Kitchen has everything you would need for the large numbers as well. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also comfortable. The house overall is very well appointed and makes for a truly great getaway in a beautiful part of the Cornwall area. I would highly recommend this house for both families and friends looking to see the area. Thanks Philip!
