This one bedroom dwelling for up to 2 people (young baby in travel cot is ok) is a well equipped converted Stable in the peaceful garden of a picturesque16th century Grade 11 listed thatch cottage in a semi rural location

This delightful accommodation is conveniently placed for Eastleigh, Winchester, Southampton, Southampton Airport, The New Forest, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and ferries to the Isle of Wight and France.

You may come to enjoy a walk in the country nearby, to watch cricket at The Ageas Bowl or football at St. Mary's Stadium, or to visit friends or relatives. Many comment on the peace and tranquility of the location.

At the front of the Stable there is a small patio with table and chairs, separated from the cottage garden.
Footpath walks through the countryside start 100 metres down the Drove.

There is parking space for one car in the Drove.

Enjoy the sound of the birds and watch them feeding on the bird table.

The Stable is close to local amenities - a petrol station with a mini market and a pub is within walking distance.
The M27 is a ten minute drive away, where there is a retail park hosting a large Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury's, Next, TK Max, Smyths and fast food outlets.
Two main line railway stations are nearby with regular trains to London.
Southampton Airport is only 15 minutes away by car, and the Ferry terminal 20 minutes.

Before you arrive you will be asked if you have any special dietary requirements as all our guests receive a welcome pack that includes home made bread and cake, fruit, cereals, jam, biscuits, tea & coffee etc, All the water if filtered On arrival you will receive a personally hand written welcome note, and your hosts will be on hand to welcome you as they live on site and will be available for any questions or queries you may have. There is a comprehensive information pack in the Stable, along with many leaflets of places to visit nearby, with some suggestions of things to do when the weather is not so nice.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Hilary + Mike (the owner) a message.

If Hilary + Mike (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
