We have just returned from our week at Church Cottage and I just wanted to let you know that we had a lovely holiday. We were delighted with the cottage and it's location. We totally fell in love with the area, particularly the beautiful beaches and the icing on the cake was that the weather was kind to us as well ! Well worth the 7 hour drive !! Thank you and we hope to return before too long. |

We stayed at the cottage from 23-30 jul 2011 with our 2 young children & my parents. the house was plenty big enough for us all to have our own space and the bedrooms were so beautifully decorated and well equipped we almost didnt want to go out!!! all the essentials were provided right down to dishwasher tablets, clothes pegs and fishing nets!! the garden was fantastic for the kids - and a real suntrap (which was good considering the weather we got was far less than typical for the time of year!!) we could all comfortably sit in the living room, and the kids made great use of the huge dining table to occupy themselves with the vast collection of games, toys and books provided in various hidey-holes around the cottage. The location was fabulous - a truly idyllic little village with a real sense of community - the lobster pot restaurant at the beadnell towers hotel is amazing and has aspalls cider on draught which was a definite plus!! I can honestly say that despite the weather we had a lovely relaxing holiday with all the home comforts you would only really expect from your own home! thanks a million to tracey for making our stay one to remember. |
Guestbook for Church Cottage
Dear Tracy,
I was going to text you when we left Church Cottage on Nov. 3, but time escaped me. I want to, first, thank you for letting us have such a beautiful place for our own for a whole week. I was able to entertain my friends from Belford as they have so often entertained me. Everything was there, and there were even makings for a snack when we walked in. I would definitely stay there again. I hope that next time my brother and his wife can come with us to experience the beauty of the area.
Our memories of our time in Beadnell linger, and we often wish we were back there where we felt peaceful and serene.
Thanks again,Sue Brems Coshocton OH USA ,Rented cottage Oct. 27-Nov. 3, 2007
Hi Tracy
Just a quick note to say "thank you" for a lovely weekend. The cottage was just what we wanted, a very cosy home from home. The weather was kind and we had a great time, so much so our 3yr old daughter, Holly said she was sad on the way home in the car, she wanted to be in Beadnell.
As soon as we came back we checked the website we thought we might try for a weekend in the Summer, but notice it is fullly booked. Never mind there is always next year. Mr and Mrs Tibbs March 2007
Hi Tracey
Just a note to say how much we all enjoyed staying at Church Cottage. It was everything we hoped it would be. My Mum is recovering from a serious illness and she said it was the perfect tonic. There was everything
there we could think of, along with the beautiful weather, scenery and local attractions. My son is now a Knight of Alnwick Castle and insists we all call him 'Sir'! Thanks once again for putting a lot of thought into the accommodation and making it a real 'home from home'. The Bamfords and the Pynegars (Aug 26th- 2nd Sept 2006)
