From the owner

Beadnell Granary is a family-run, beautiful 18th century stone cottage tucked in by the sand dunes in Beadnell, a mere 150m to the stunning Bay via a pretty path. It is an ideal private location, a home from home. The cottage is full of character and has double glazing, a wood burning stove and an enclosed garden. Dogs are welcome at £25 each with a maximum of 2 dogs, please inform us if you will be bringing a dog with you. Parking is available for 2 cars.

We run 7 night bookings only, Friday to Friday.

There are 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and TV, with a beautiful view across the sand dunes. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and sink. Bedroom 3 has 1 single bed. All bedrooms have drawers and wardrobes. The spacious bathroom is downstairs. Towels and bedding are included in the rental price. Free wifi is available.

The cottage is in the Beadnell Bay area, close to the pretty harbour. Nearby is the beach car park where you can find electric car charging points, water-sports during peak season, and some lovely coffee shops/beach huts. The main village of Beadnell is a 10 minute walk away, and has two dog-friendly pubs, a church, cafe/bistro and a shop. Seahouses is 3 miles north and has a selection of shops, restaurants, pubs, a co-op and from where you can arrange trips to the Farne islands.

Northumberland is full of castles and beautiful golden sandy beaches. Both Bamburgh and Embleton beaches are within a short drive. There are 3 golf courses, lots of lovely coastal walks and National Trust properties nearby. You will not be short of things to do!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Charles and Dilys (the owner) a message.

If Charles and Dilys (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
