“Brilliant location” Perfectly located to access the beautiful surrounding countryside with great walks for my collie. In the evening it's a short stroll to the local pubs and restaurants. Would definitely recommend Panetti's and The Taste of India. The cottage has everything you need with the addition of the great dog friendly garden with a gate that leads direct to a walk along the beck. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch. We will be returning.

“Lovely stay” Stayed at the Harlequin mon-fri with my dog. The cottage has everything you could possibly want , the owners really have thought of everything. My dog is blind so the open plan living area downstairs was perfect for him. Bit of a steep walk down to the beach and 50 mins walk into Filey but it's a lovely peaceful walk and me and Bailey loved it. My daughter and little grandson came to stay one day and overnight so the travel cot and highchair were very much appreciated. Would highly recommend.

“Relaxed & Chilled.” The Best thing I can say about our hosts Louise & Steve was that we never saw them apart from collecting and returning the keys. Let me explain more on this - we were met by our friendly and amicable hosts who explained how the hot tub worked, showed us inside the summer house where the bbq was and things such as where beach & nearby pubs were. We were advised if we needed anything at all and just ask, as I started didn't need to as EVERYTHING was perfect.We came for 3 stress free night's and that is exactly what we got, and was heavenly. The hot tub was cleaned daily and used up to 3 times a day by us and was great and even our autistic son adored it which was a real bonus. What Louise & Steve have created is a little haven with tremendous attention to detail, from the lights on the external trees to the little fairy tree house. The garden was large and ideal for my dog but so was the beach a gentle 10 mins stroll down the road. I highly recommend this stay as long as you want to chill & relax, if you are used to being constantly on the go this is a must to wind down. I had a chat with Louise on departure and told her to expect another visit from us - it was heavenly, and highly recommend.

“Fab little place” We booked our overnight stay last minute in February half term and we weren’t disappointed!! The apartment was perfect for what we needed, and to be honest I could’ve stayed there a few more nights. It’s about a 2 minute drive into Whitby and if we’d stayed longer and the weather was better we would’ve walked. The apartment was clean, tidy and well set out. There’s a view of the abbey from the living room and bedroom windows. There’s a Sainsbury’s and Aldi at the end of the road which was ideal. I wouldn’t hesitate to book in here again.

“Short break” Hutton-le-Hole is a very picturesque village. We stayed in flat B, husband and two boys. It was very comfortable we particularly liked and booked this property as it had single beds for the children as they do not like to sleep together. The rooms were quite and good for sleeping. It was easy to cool or heat the flat. It has an airing cupboard great to dry wet towels. WiFi is very good but no phone service but you can use WiFi to receive or make calls. We have stayed in many self catering properties I always find it difficult to know what basics will be provided or not e.g soap, few basics in the kitchen as left by previous tenants. In this property there were the following basics: washing up liquid, dishwasher as well as washing machine tablets, 1 toilet roll and soap for hands. We also had a welcome pack of coffee, tea, biscuits and wine. Thank you for your hospitality.

“Wonderful Whitby” Stayed at Cairns Vista for the 4th time - so yes we really do enjoy it there Lovely modern apartment with 360 degree views across to the Abbey and to Sandsend Very clean and well equipped apartment with lovely open plan kitchen dining and lounge area so were all together when cooking dining relaxing and having fun Would definitely recommend and it is great value for money

“spacious” place was spacious clean smelt nice. Didn't like parking on the road but nothing negative apart from that. Next doors cats came and said hello most days which is ok if you don't have a dog with you which we didn't. Rebecca came and said hello and gave us some information that would be handy for us. Had a lovely holiday.

“Fantastic getaway” We hired Waterside House for a long weekend as a venue for our wedding reception and it was absolutely amazing. The property itself was stunning and very well presented. James was extremely helpful and when we needed to ask him anything or request a favour (for example when some of our wedding arrangements went wrong!) he was friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to hire this property again...we are just working how soon we can go back!

“Singularly enchanting” Gina's healthy home is like nowhere else I have ever stayed. Not only in a wonderful location and beautifully laid out, but also packed with interesting features and curios. It was an education for our group of ten not particularly spiritually inclined or harmonious 30 year chaps. We found it difficult to decide which of the many lovely sitting rooms to hang out in next. Soothed by the overall effect of the place after three days, everyone was very reluctant to head back to their city jobs and boring houses and flats.

“Superb!” 8 ladies stayed in this beautiful house for a long weekend. The owner gave plenty of useful information before arrival including a full itinerary and comprehensive directions/parking. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome basket including cereal, jam, milk, butter, crisps, chocolate and wine, just perfect and also a birthday card for me, lovely touch! The house is equipped with everything you could need and is furnished to a very high standard. All the fixtures, furnishings and bedding are high quality and there wasn't a speck of dust to be found. A 5 minute walk brings you to the train station in the centre of beautiful Whitby, perfect location. A truly superb find.

“Excellent value for money” Warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Owners Sue & Alan have thought of every detail and have a little gem of a holiday home.The hot tub is soooo relaxing after a long walk and there are white robes / slippers provided adding to the chilled out feeling once you're out of the tub. The "secret garden" behind the gate comes alive at night with lights that are tastefully placed around it and the hot tub,we spent a day just lounging on the garden chairs in the hot sunshine ( lucky with the weather). Difficult place to say " goodbye" to as its a peaceful haven. Good luck to Sue & Alan they've put a lot of thought ,hardwork into this lodge and we hope it goes from strength to strength.
