“Wish cat holiday apartment” Great accommodation and location. Very clean & comfortable. Hospitable host leaving milk and bread on arrival. Fully recommend for people with dogs, two minute walk to beach, garden area directly opposite for that last let out before bed.

“Wonderful stay” The apartment was very spacious and clean, with lovely views and a great bathroom. The bedroom was very comfortable and Gary was very kind to have provided the essentials as well as bread, milk and eggs. It was very convenient as only a 20 minute walk from the city centre and I would definitely stay here again.

“Lovely flat, great location” We really enjoyed the flat- very clean and came equipt with pretty much everything you'd need in the kitchen utensil wise, plus the owner had taken the time to get us some essentials - milk, bread and eggs. There was a washing machine and a dishwasher, which was nice to have alternatives for clothes washing if we needed them and to have the handy dishwasher speeded things up in the mornings and evenings for sure. Both soaps and dishwasher tablets provided as well. The bedroom was lovely and comfortable (nice and soft), bedding really nice quality. She also provided us with towels- a large one and smaller one each (there wasn't any hand towels in the bathrooms so I think that's what the small towels were for) Two bathrooms, clean and frrsh, one with bath, meant getting both of us ready in the morning was a lot quicker- i want a spare at home now :-) only downside was not having enough toilet roll- we are left about 1 and a half in total- for two people for four days? Not really enough, but I bought some at a local shop so not a major issue, just would have been nice.well The living room was very large and well furbished. The owner had left a few board games and books which was nice. Something I don't believe the owner mentioned was sky and WiFi. Both were installed, but we didn't bring laptop since we didn't think there was WiFi. I do believe it should be a selling point as it made things a lot easier to have WiFi available. Having the sky was also a great surprise- we don't have TV at home (life choice) and it was nice to have it as an option and watch a couple films. We brought our cat, the owner took the time to respond with messages about keeping cats in the flat, prompt and helpful. There was a cat flap there but we locked it just to be safe, ours can't go outside. She basically hid for the first couple days but she enjoyed running round in the large living room. Heating easy to use, TV and WiFi easy to use. Nice small patio area outside- bedroom and living room both had French doors leading into it. A small downside was we couldn't open the windows in the kitchen, even with the extractor fan on, when I made pancakes there was just a bit to much smoke/steam, I couldn't get the windows to open. It could just have been me, but they looked painted shut almost? I don't know, but we couldn't open French doors to let air through because of the cat... So mostly just didn't work for us. Local shops just a short walk away, centre of York about 20 minutes walk and for any big supermarkets it was about 10 minutes drive. All in all we were really happy with our stay. The owner was helpful and open with communications, and the flat was clean, spacious and came pretty much fully equipt. I think the owner should list the WiFi and sky as advantages to the flat also, as they were a great surprise to have. We would totally recommended this flat to anyone, and the area also.

“Good location for a Scarborough break” Located at a high point close to the castle, the view from the main living area is panoramic. Great to cook,sit and eat or relax with an every changing scene. We found all we needed to properly self-cater in the kitchen area. The flat was generally clean and tidy, except for the oven, which needed a deep clean. You don`t get a great view without some effort and the walk back uphill may tax some guests. Our main gripe was the lack of parking spaces. We were loath to move the car once we had parked as every available spot was taken up the moment a space came available.

“Excellent apartment in the city center overlooking the river.” This is a first class apartment in the center of York. Everything needed was supplied and the owners kindly provided a starter pack of essentials and some nice extras which were greatly appreciated. Communication with the owners could not be faulted and we were greeted on arrival and shown round the apartment. Parking is in a designated space which is bonus in a city center location. Despite the close proximity to the city the apartment was extremely quite with no noise from outside or other residents in the block. We have stayed in a number of apartments over the years and can genuinely say this is one of the best we have stayed in. Thanks to Sue and John for your hospitality.

“Cosy apartment in the beautiful dales.” Your apartment is warm, cosy and spacious and has everything available that you could possibly need to make the stay very comfortable. Appliances galore in the kitchen- loved the slow cooker. We enjoyed playing the games and puzzles that were available, especially the big 500 piece Europe jigsaw! We had a lovely week exploring the dales, the apartment is centrally located to travel around with ease. We visited Asgarth Falls, Tan Hill, Malham Cove, Hawes Wensleydale cheese factory, White Scar caves, Bolton Castle... among other places. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would highly recommend your apartment. Thank you.

“Lovely” Absolutely brilliant apartment. Fantastic location. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and tidy. Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here for the Christmas markets. The apartment had everything you could need. Just a 2 minute walk from the minster and the parking that came with the apartment was so helpful. We would not hesitate to stay at City2 again and would highly recommend.

“Wonderful location” Only a five minute walk down into the town (ok -ten minutes coming back - but it was uphill!) and a lovely view of the Abbey as you were walking down. Everything in close proximity, with a secure space at the apartment so you could forget about driving and parking. Take the tour bus and be amazed when it stops outside Union Mill as a place of historical interest! Everything you could need in the apartment. And thank you for the welcoming bottle of wine.

“Unique experience, piece of history to relish.” This refurbished railway station provides a unique experience. It's high quality finishes add a modern but sympathetic touch to it's history. The warm welcome from owner & thorough details provided makes sure you settle in quickly. With a thoughtful welcome basket also to greet you. We found having our dog with us presented no issues & accommodation was easy to keep clean & tidy with the well placed lay out. Castle Howard so near( 3 visits ! ) they serve a lovely breakfast ,useful on day of departure. York, and also the coast not to far away we found so much to do which included our furry friend being with us. So great base, great location, fabulous scenery, dog friendly.

“Just perfect in every way!” The apartment was perfect and we could not think of anything that would have made it better apart from maybe a second bottle of prosecco!! The location was so central with everything right on your doorstep though we only discovered the theatre as we were leaving. But that's a good reason to return. Thank you Lynne for everything.

“Brilliant apartment, very clean, good value and great central location.” We stayed in this apartment for two nights in November and it was perfect. A really great find. The communication from the owner was brilliant after booking. The apartment was very central and very clean and all the furniture was good quality. The owner had left breakfast things, cakes from Bettys tea room and a bottle of bubbly in the fridge- all as extras which was so nice of her. I would highly recommend this apartment. “Splendid !” I moved away from East Yorkshire over 30 years ago, so I was very pleased to find such a pleasant place to stay for a couple of weeks and rediscover the area. I found the apartment very comfortable for the 3 of us staying there, everything was clean and in good working order and it was a nice surprise to find a supply of tea, coffee and fresh milk waiting for us when we arrived. I went to Beverley Grammar School in the 1970’s and my recent stay allowed me to rediscover some of the wonderful things about Beverley. A guided tour of the minster roof allows you to see how it was constructed as if you are seeing it through the eyes of the craftsmen who built it, also walking on the Westwood gives you a view of Beverley that is probably one of the most scenic views in England. The apartment is very conveniently situated & it is easy to stroll along to Wednesday Market to enjoy a morning coffee in one of the cafes while reading the paper, and in the evening have dinner in one of the restaurants and enjoy a pint or two on the way back. I would certainly recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting the wonderful town of Beverley.
