“Grosvenor Cottage” Lovely presented cottage in beautiful Hornsea, we had a great time & thanks for the lovely extras, your beautiful cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, so very homely...the area is fantastic & we were so lucky with the weather following the recent storms. “It felt like a home from the first minute” Definitely a great place to stay if you want a quiet home, not too far from York. The kids (10 and 12) enjoyed being on their own floor. You have everything you need and more in the small but adequately furnished family room. The washing machine is a great plus. The area is fantastic for walking and taking a tour on a steam train. Maybe less suitable for a family with teenagers.

“Amazing views, excellent walking and bird watching location” We have stayed at Netherscar twice. Both times we have had a marvellous time. The walks from the doorstep are magnificent. Intrepid walkers can do the Yorkshire Peaks if so inclined. For the less agile there are level walks too. The drive up to the cottage is wonderful with sheep and cows sat on the track, reluctantly moving to let the car pass! The view of the viaduct is great and we enjoyed watching trains go over it, walking under it and learning its history up at the very friendly visitor centre. The cottage itself is a little jaded but clean and comfy. Would not win any prizes in an Ideal Home exhibition but that is part of its charm. The owner was quick to rectify the shower which stopped working and attend to all our needs, but never intrusive. There are plenty of places to drive to nearby e.g. Hawes, Ingleton etc. but mostly we enjoyed sitting in the sun lounge taking in the views, reading and totally relaxing. It is a truly 'get away from it all' place.

“Best cottage ever ...” The best cottage hubby and I have stayed in for many a year. Attention to detail, cleanliness and comfort were second to none. Tried to declare Squatters Rights, but had to go back to work! We will definitely go back to Bill's Place.

“brilliant cottage in gorgeous surroundings.” The cottage was very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Excellent views of the countryside. More than home from home. 3 of us stayed and had a settee each to relax each evening after days spent walking and touring the local area. Really nice welcome pack of tea, coffee and milk etc.and very friendly owners. Nothing not to like.

“Situated in an excellent postion for touring 'the Dales'.” The service as usual met all critera for a trouble free holiday. The directions shown to the 'Dairy' accurate and easy to follow. The accomodation was of a high specification with attention to detail and would suit a large party/gathering with plenty of parking. Plenty of space both internally and externally, large kitchen/dinning, lounge, utility room,adequate shower rooms/bathroom/toilet facilities. Good size entrance hall to cater for all outdoor clothing and shoes/boots of walkers before entering the main part of the cottage. The cottage was very warm and friendly controllable. Location is excellent for The Dales and surrounding countryside to include The Lakes. Many places of interest, to include picture post card towns,caves, waterfalls, beautiful country walks, of which there are many provided in the up to date guides at the cottage. A car is a requirement due to the remote situation but also close enough to a village for day to day shopping requirements. A few excellent places to eat out locally. A truly rural environment can be enjoyed by staying at 'Dairy'.

“Comfortable and convenient” Lovely house, with plenty of space, apart from the living room, which wasn't that big, but we made a lot of use of the large kitchen so it wasn't a problem. Nice garden, and a small play park just a few steps away from the house, which is ideal for younger children. Great location - about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Whitby, and what a bonus to have two car parking spaces.

“A magical holiday location.” A well furnished and kitted house. A welcome pack and a bowl of fresh fruit on arrival. Four bedrooms each with en suite. Owners very welcoming and helpful. Our handicapped son enjoyed the horses and we enjoyed the easy access to the country side. Good meals in local pubs.

“Quiet peaceful and relaxing” My husband and I and our Siberian Cat Sasha, enjoyed our week's stay in Tennant Cottage. This was a part of the Yorkshire Dales we hadnt visited before but it was a pretty hair raising experience driving to and from Malham on the very narrow and winding lanes. We were a bit disappointed as we had booked Sunday lunch at the Buck Inn opposite but on arriving at the Pub the not too friendly barman said there was no note of our booking and would have been nice if he had at least apologised. It was not the owner of the Pub who on another night we again visited and he was very friendly. Wished we had known about no reception for mobiles in the area as you had to drive we were advised a mile or so out of the village which if there had been an emergency would have been pretty frightening. We really liked the little cafe in the village serving good quality breakfasts and other food all day. For us the location was a little distant as we were not "walkers" to other amenities but it didnt detract from the area which is beautiful. However Tennant Cottage was the cleanest cottage we have ever rented and very well presented and furnished.
