“Great cottage fantastic location.” Greeted by the owner, full of information, very friendly and helpful. welcome pack awaited us on arrival. lovely cottage fully equipped, probably more kitchen items than most of us have at home. climbing frame for children in garden, luckily we had glorious weather, but there was a fully equipped games room for wet days. everything worked and it was spotlessly clean, Would gladly go back if the need arose. Nice quiet location, good walk into Goathland once you find the way.

“An excellent introduction to Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors” First time to Whitby, and this cottage could not be better located. Much attention has been spent on making the property as welcoming as possible and is suited to either a couple or 4 people.

“Escape From The Crowds.” Well I finally found found The Cottage after making three about turns on the road. Down a wee country track, we were met by Ingid, Matt and Knight Arthur...I grid offered to help me out with buying a couple of items for when Shen went shopping , so kind, very nice pleasant people.... Arthur promptly showed us around...my two dogs scurried off noses to the ground then finally the kettle went on..... On the Monday I bought fire requirements, and on Monday night I lit a fire, later adding a couple of logs. How lovely! Took us back to our childhood, toasting tea cakes at the fireside. My cousin 86yrs old slept excellently....I less so, as I found the double bed a little hard....I'm used to a softer bed, but as the week went on I adjusted and was happy to wander off in my dreams... Some lovely areas for walking, with breath taking countryside and fabulous vistas... Our more smiley moments were coming across roadside barrows selling all kinds of goodies...made the obligatory visit to Whitby Abbey, Scarborough, Ryedale Museum at Hutton-le-Hole absolutely a must...finishing off with a mighty tasty meal at the pub next to the museum. While staying at the cottage I bought my vegetables from the top farm, the most yummy carrots I've tasted for a long time...but a huge selection of fruit and veg, eggs too.... It's peaceful, quiet, and dark with a clear sky so star gazing was an option too...Outdoor seating, if you delight in a glass of wine at the end of the day.... Cheers Ingrid, Matt (hope you're back too good health) and to Knight Arthur...because that's just what you are...A Knight to the Rescue, Thank You Arthur, hope you made the Rugby Team ....take care all of you. “A fantastic house on a lovely site.” The house is immaculate, with many thoughtful touches. It is located on a quiet site, but has a range of good facilities. The owner is very helpful, sending lots of information beforehand. The step down onto the paved bbq area is quite steep, making it difficult for less mobile people.

“Fabulous well equiped cottage in stunning location” The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the cottage was very cosy and warm which was fantastic as the weather was cold and blustery and a bit rainy at times. It was beautifully furnished and decorated with fabulous views out across the Worth valley. Moorland walks straight from the door and close to Howarth with the Bronte Parsonage Museum, lovely shops and pubs. We happened to be there for the steam punk week-end in Howarth with people in Victorian dress which was fun! We had a birthday event with friends in Lytham St Annes and a lunch at the Inn at Whitewell so had the opportunity to travel over the hills and valleys on the scenic route to the Forest of Bowland and beyond. Definitely stay again!

“Great cottage in central Whitby with Parking!” We've had a wonderful week staying at Abbey View in Whitby, we being myself, husband, 11 year old son and 80 year old mother. It was perfect! Abbey View is in a great location in central Whitby with the added bonus of a parking space right nearby and we were able to unload our stuff from the car directly outside the cottage. This charming cottage has everything we needed to be able to easily self cater, although the fish and chips in Whitby is not to be missed and there are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. It is a short climb up from the centre of Whitby, which my 80 year old mother managed without too many problems. The cottage was very clean when we arrived, the linen was lovely and the beds were comfortable. My son loved his bedroom on the top floor. The cottage is very spacious despite external appearances - it looks tiny from the outside! We would have no hesitation in booking to stay here again and recommending to friends.

“Excellent in every way” We spent three nights at The Apartment in Masham at the end of May. There were five of us (three adults and two children aged 5 and 7) and there was more than enough room for us. The apartment was clean, bright, nicely decorated, and stocked with enough games and books to keep the kids busy in the evening. The village is very well served and is a great location for exploring the Dales.
