“Quiet peaceful and relaxing” My husband and I and our Siberian Cat Sasha, enjoyed our week's stay in Tennant Cottage. This was a part of the Yorkshire Dales we hadnt visited before but it was a pretty hair raising experience driving to and from Malham on the very narrow and winding lanes. We were a bit disappointed as we had booked Sunday lunch at the Buck Inn opposite but on arriving at the Pub the not too friendly barman said there was no note of our booking and would have been nice if he had at least apologised. It was not the owner of the Pub who on another night we again visited and he was very friendly. Wished we had known about no reception for mobiles in the area as you had to drive we were advised a mile or so out of the village which if there had been an emergency would have been pretty frightening. We really liked the little cafe in the village serving good quality breakfasts and other food all day. For us the location was a little distant as we were not "walkers" to other amenities but it didnt detract from the area which is beautiful. However Tennant Cottage was the cleanest cottage we have ever rented and very well presented and furnished.

“Well Settled!” Quiet and cosy cottage perfectly situated down a lane off the bustling High Street and Market Square. So convenient for the excellent bakers, Booths supermarket, pubs and cafes. Settle has wonderful hill and river walks in all directions and it was a pleasure to come back to the warm and well-appointed cottage at the end of a busy day.

“Very comfortable cottage in peaceful location.” Cowstone Gill is a lovely cottage to get away from it all! Set in glorious scenic location next to a stream, it has it all! The cottage is equipped to a high standard, especially the kitchen, which is of true farmhouse size and style. having two staircases and bathrooms, it is ideal for two separate couples or larger families. Furnishings are comfortable downstairs with an excellent log burner for colder times. I can highly recommend this super cottage and have already booked a second stay!

“A delightful cottage, location and, indeed, holiday.” The family holiday was a complete success. The cottage was excellent for our needs, our hosts friendly and attentive, the weather was kind and the scenery superb. I'd forgotten how glorious are the North Yorks moors. The only criticisms that could be levelled were due to my wife being severely disabled with arthritis. The drive up to the cottage was very rough and bone-shaking, the steps to the house rather steep for her and the settees in the cottage itself were very low and difficult for her to use' However, as I said, that was due to my wife's condition rather than the cottage itself, but it is a point I think Mr Robinson might care to consider for the future.

“Comfortable and convenient” Lovely house, with plenty of space, apart from the living room, which wasn't that big, but we made a lot of use of the large kitchen so it wasn't a problem. Nice garden, and a small play park just a few steps away from the house, which is ideal for younger children. Great location - about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Whitby, and what a bonus to have two car parking spaces.

“Lovely stay in the North York Moors” The rental is a barn that has been converted to a very high standard, because there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms effectively both bedrooms are en-suite, the views to the rear over the esk valley are lovely. The location makes it a good base for touring, you can drive on to the moors in a few minutes and reach Whitby in about 20, the only minor drawback is that it is a stiff 25 minute walk uphill from the nearest pub (which is very nice).

“A magical holiday location.” A well furnished and kitted house. A welcome pack and a bowl of fresh fruit on arrival. Four bedrooms each with en suite. Owners very welcoming and helpful. Our handicapped son enjoyed the horses and we enjoyed the easy access to the country side. Good meals in local pubs.

“totally relaxing” Close proximity to town, railway and bus stations, shops, amenities and sea was perfect but cottage location was still quiet and peaceful. Private parking was an added bonus. A delight to see the steam trains pass by from the windows. Even the weather was excellent.

“A most comfortable stay” The cottage was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. It was well located and enabled us to explore the area. Thirsk was nearby with supermarkets and plenty of independent traders of all kinds. The owners were very welcoming and the little extra touches of milk, flowers, bottle of wine and fresh eggs from their hens were lovely. If there is one downside to wheelhouse cottage then it is that there is no view from the property as it is all ground floor.
