Mountain Biking & Cycling Holiday Accommodation in York - Holiday Lettings
31 properties suitable for cycling
“Wonderful in every way” We have just spent a short break here and had a wonderful time. The house is as welcoming as its owner and has everything you need to guarantee a relaxed holiday. It has a parking place and is in a quiet courtyard setting minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was so nice to be able to come back in an evening after a busy day visiting various places. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to a return visit soon.

“Excellent apartment for all of York's attractions” We stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks with our children aged 6 and 8 and we could not have hoped for better, more comfortable, or clean accommodation! We have two boys but there would have been no way they would have slept in the upstairs double bed together (early waking guaranteed!!) so Sandra very kindly made up a spare bed for us in the study-perfect! The mezzanine lay out is very quirky, and for us being able to hear when one of the boys woke up or moved out of his bed was good! However as others have said you do hear every little snore or movement in the upper bedroom from the lower bedroom! This is definitely not a criticism as it wasn't an issue for us, but handy to know if you're going with other couples! Plus you have the option of the study being made up! Having Sainsbury's literally 100 steps away was fantastic, no roads to cross or anything, just follow the path, plus absolutely no noise from it! We walked everywhere with the kids which was a huge bonus as no need to worry about parking in York, many a day was spent having picnic's in one of the many parks. We had fantastic weather for the full 2 weeks which definitely made our holiday even better. Can recommend Caesar's Italian just along from the apartment, very child friendly! All in all one of the best family holidays we've had and would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again, Sandra was most attentive from when we booked, to us leaving! Also recommend Creepy Crawlies/The Web play area for kids, we didn't see it advertised anywhere and just came across it, totally fabulous for kids and comfy loungers for exhausted parents!

“Lovely large property in a very central position.” We will always have fond memories of our stay here as this is where our daughter got ready on her wedding day. A lovely spacious house, centrally located and with it's own parking space ..albeit a bit tight if you have a large vehicle, but we managed. Communication with the owners was good and they couldn't be more helpful. I would definitely stay here again, we had a lovely stay...thank you!

“Excellent Apartment” Warm welcome from Karen (owner), she showed us round and let us know how everything worked. We were given a starter pack which included a few essential groceries i.e milk, butter, cereal, coffee, juice etc. The apartment was spotless and could not find fault. Very well furnished and extremely modern. Beds extremely comfy and we all had the best sleep while we were here. Very spacious. We didn't realise how close it was to the city centre, only a two minute walk over the bridge and you are into the hustle and bustle of York. Lots to do and see and the Jorvick Centre is a must. Parking for apartment was excellent, an assigned space within a locked courtyard. Overall an excellent trip and would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks so much Karen and John for making our trip worthwhile as we feel accommodation plays a massive part in your enjoyment of your trip.

“Fab apartment - 2nd visit” This was our second visit and it was just as great this time. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and modern. It is so easy to book the apartment and we wanted to stay an extra night at the last minute which was sorted really easily. The apartment is so near the city walls, it is really convenient for sightseeing and shopping, as well as pubs and restaurants and the parking space is a definite bonus. On our next visit to York, we will definitely stay here (again). If you like a curry, then we recommend the Viceroy restaurant just round the corner from the apartment on Monkgate and if you like steak, there is an absolutely brilliant Argentinian steak house called El Goucho on Walmgate.

“Lovely house hid away in the Yorkshire countryside” Luxurious decor and ideal for events at the local wedding venue. The house is set in the rural countryside so you need only to worry about being disturbed by the local cows. I would recommend staying at Oliver farm highly.

“Amazing!!” We’ve just had a 3 night stay at waterside house for mine and my fiancé’s birthdays. There was 13 of us including 3 1 year old babies. The house is amazing. Bedrooms are all good sizes and more than enough bathrooms. Beds are so comfortable. The house is lovely and warm with the underfloor heating keeping the floors warm. The views are lovely from the back of the property overlooking the canal. The hot tub was a hit with everyone, it’s so much better than the electric ones! It stays hot all day and night. James the property owner and his dad Peter were great, they couldn’t have been more helpful before, during and after our stay. They provided us with a canoe for the canal which went down well with the men in our group. Also fishing rods and bikes for the children were available. We accidentally came home with a hair dryer and towel from the property and immediately contacted James to inform him, he was so understanding that these things can happen, they’ve both been placed in the mail back to the house. The cows are around the near by fields and we visited them a few times with the babies who were so fascinated by them. We would highly recommend this property and hope we will be back soon for another stay. Thanks for a wonderful time.

“Perfect base to explore York” York is a great place for a short or long break, with so much to do and see in and around the city, and this flat is the perfect base, being a very short walk from the city walls. It is comfortable and well-equipped and Frank is quick to assist with any queries. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit York.

“Very well equipped countryside cottage” Booked this break only a few weeks before our stay; no problems with booking. Arrived earlier than we expected but this wasn't a problem; the cottage was ready for us. I was very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was. This made our stay so much easier. Judy was so welcoming and our daughter loved the friendly dogs! Very comfy double bed! Whilst the property was advertised as having wifi, we found this to be very "hit and miss" and only once had a connection for more than a few minutes. The lack of a shower curtain (probably because it is a wetroom suitable for those with a disability) meant that the whole bathroom got soaked after every shower. The cottage is quite remote and in lovely countryside- perfect for a relaxing break but no shops within walking distance for a newspaper etc. Convenient for visiting York which we did everyday we were there. However, rather than trying to park in York it is far cheaper and more convenient to use the park and ride at the designer outlet.
