“Perfect for large family/groups, great location” I have stayed in quite a few holiday rental places over the years, and this is definitely up there with the best! Everything was as described, and the chapel is amazingly well renovated. Marnie's communication throughout the booking process (and arrival and leaving) was exemplary.
Our group consisted of 6 adults with one small baby and two dogs, and there was more than enough room for us all. The garden is plenty big enough for the dogs and well away from the road, and the provision of a hose was ideal for cleaning them down after long walks!
I can highly recommend the Ming Kee chinese takeaway, and also the New Tredegar Arms which is an easy one mile walk away in Upper Cwmtwrch. Local amenities are all very good (there is a Tescos, a Co-op and an Asda all within a 5 minute drive), as well as the Post Office shop next door.
Swansea is only 20 mins away, and the beautiful Gower peninsula just beyond that. I would also recommend a trip to the Henrhyd falls, only 15 mins drive away and absolutely spectacular!
“Lovely apartment, ideal location, fantastic owner” Great location, you are pretty much on the beach. Views from the apartment are wonderful, with a nice balcony to sit out on to enjoy them. Walking distance to the town centre and all the amenities with some nice bars and restaurants around the marina itself.
The apartment was clean, nicely presented and well equipped. I stayed with my husband, small baby and my parents and it was more than suitable for all of us. The owner communicated well and ensured we had everything we needed both before and during our stay. I couldn't fault it and we had a fantastic week. Would definitely book again.
“Perfect” We have just returned from our 2nd visit to The Gower Bungalow. For us it was the perfect base for a brilliant family holiday. The bungalow is cosy, comfy and spotlessly clean. The view from the conservarory is beautiful and the location is so peacful and quiet. (Even tbough we had our 4 and 6yr old girls with us!)
The bungalow is very near to the coastal path and there are instructions inside the bungalow on how to reach it. Our girls easily managed the walk down to the ice cream shop and the little bay.
We cannot fault The Gower Bungalow in any way. We have made some fabulous memories here and we will definitely be returning for our 3rd visit.
“A gem of a cottage” A perfect cottage for our family group of three generations including 2 toddlers. Well equipped with lovely character: clean, comfortable, homely, lovely little garden and parking in the centre of Mumbles. Helpful welcoming host nearby.
Being able to walk to the castle, shops, promenade, pier, cafes and beach in minutes was a real bonus.
Also enjoyed the beautiful sandy beaches on the Gower and stunning coastal walks from Rhossili to Worm's Head (saw seals!) and Oxwich to Three Cliffs Bay.
Swansea museums and leisure centre only a few miles away gave us wet weather options.
“Relaxing retreat” A beautiful barn conversion on the outskirts of Swansea, clean and warm, a lovely relaxing space with our dogs, safe and secure back garden, all the amenities you require in a self catering stay, spent all our spare time cozied up in the hot tub under the stars with a glass of complimentary prosecco, thank you for having us and the dogs
