We stayed in Oak Cottage over the bank holiday weekend and used it as a base to explore the Gower Peninsula.
The house is in a great location, with a lovely outlook onto open fields, and a convenience store, pub and take away restaurants all within walking distance. Access to the main sights and beaches including Rhossili, Oxwich Bay and Llangennith was easy by car.
The house was immaculately presented, spotlessly clean and stocked with all the basics. It had more than enough space for four of us and was of a high standard. I would definitely recommend a stay in Oak Cottage. …
Gower Edge, spacious, comfortable and dog friendly
Spacious accomodation with a lovely secluded garden
This house exceded our expectations with the ammount of space it had for everyone to spread out. The thoughtful provision of so many toys and games and DVDs to occcupy everyone was an unexpected bonus. There is understandably a little wear and tear on some furnishings etc, but I found that made us more relaxed with our family. There was an ample supply of crockery and cutlery etc. My daughter could have done with a larger stainless steel cooking pot, as the largest pan was aluminium which we don't use.
Centrally located for Swansea, Mumbles and Gower, a Sat Nav -or a good map reader- is useful to find your way to those glorious Gower beaches. …
IVY COTTAGE DUNVANT GOWER
Ivy cottage was really clean, super comfy beds, a real home from home. There is everything you need, even a bottle of wine in the fridge! Ruth, the owner, is quite possibly the friendliest person in Wales. The view from the cottage window is lovely, lots of horses in the paddock. The area is quiet, just the odd tractor or mooing cow! Although the cottage is in a housed area, it is set on the farm so it seems quite rural. We visited quite a few beaches in the area, most places were 20-30 mins drive away. Quite a few nice pubs to eat in. We couldn't fault this cottage in any way. Ideal location for exploring the Gower. …
