Kitchen and appliances excellent
Spacious and high standard accommodation geared towards families.
Cannot be faulted. Already booked again for 2012 !
“Fabulous modern home from home stay” Modern, fully equipped house (kitchen, fridge, wine cooler, great rooms, internet TV and hot tub) in great location near to beaches. Whats not to like. We had friends staying ... teenagers/young adults coming and going and it never felt cramped, room for everyone.
Great stay and we would love to come back
“A really wonderful position with amazing owner.” We stayed for the weekend (Fri -Sun) at the end of half term. It was quite a last minute decision to go away and the attention to detail by the owner was the best we have ever had. Nothing was too much trouble, Heather provided lots of information about the flat and the surrounding area as well as letting us know that there might be trouble parking as some work was being done by contractors nearby. There weren't any problems but we appreciated the heads up.
We have stayed in Swanage and Bournemouth many times but this flat was in the best position for beach, the car ferry and Bournemouth and Poole. A lovely tesco express nearby served us well and the flat was very well equipped. We appreciated the travel cot and high chair in particular.
We would have revisited anyway but Heather's excellent service mean we will return even sooner!
“Superb holiday accommodation and superb location and lovely weather.” We spent a week here last Summer and had a fantastic time, really lovely accommodation, comfortable, modern, clean and tidy. The location was perfect - only a very short walk to the beach across the road which was a beautiful sandy beach with lovely views of the boats and ferry. We paddled in the sea and collected shells on the beach. We walked around Sandbanks looking at the lovely houses and visited Poole, Bournemouth and took the ferry over and discovered a Castle which we explored and then finished off with a lovely cream tea in the castle grounds. We visited the local steam railway and had a ride on a steam train. We can't wait to go there again.
This gorgeous sandy peninsula in Dorset has a truly exclusive feel, due to its secluded setting and rows of celebrity-owned mansions. But whilst it may feel like an A-lister's resort, Sandbanks is very down to earth and perfect for a family beach holiday. Book your holiday rental in Sandbanks today.
It's situated in charming and reasonably rural Dorset, and makes up part of the Jurassic Coast, famous for its natural beauty (and dinosaur fossils).
What to Do
Take a walk along the coastline for some of the prettiest views. Make sure to catch a glimpse of the stunning Old Harry Rocks, and don’t forget your camera!

Flat 9 Sandhills, Sandbanks, 200 metres from the beach
Half term break
Wow! What a lovely place to stay. Myself and my family have just returned from a week in Sandbanks staying at 9 Sandhills. We had a fantastic break, all helped by the lovely apartment we rented. From our first contact with Heather things ran really smoothly. Heather was a pleasure to deal with, answering our emails and questions really quickly. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and really well equipt with the added bonus of being really close to the beach. We all had a great week and didn't want to leave. We would reccommend this apartment and hope to return again soon! …
3 Golden Gates
Stunning views, good location, enjoyable stay.
The apartment was very clean and tidy, the bedrooms and lounge areas were modern but the kitchen and bathroom were quite frumpy and need updating altho perfectly functionable. Stunning views across to swanage. Bus stop outside the apartment. Nice walks along the beach and lovely area. The huge balcony was great and an ideal spot for people watching. Downsides were parking, space for two cars only and expensive to park in surrounding area. Only two hand towels provided for 6 people which was insufficient just for hand washing let alone needing one for hair washing, but bathroom towels were large and soft. The noise from the ferry docking is quite loud and audible from the master bedroom even with windows closed, so I should imagine in summer with open windows at 6am it might annoy some people. The cars queue for the ferry right outside the side windows of the two main bedrooms again if you are a light sleeper and with open windows it would be quite loud. We were there for New Year and weather was wet, stormy and windy, the wind whistles through the windows and did keep me awake at night, but that can't be helped. Please put a mat in the lounge area in front of the doors out to the balcony, would save all those went foot prints on the laminate flooring. We also had to drive into Bournemouth to collect the keys from letting agent and go back again to drop them off, never had to do this for a rental before. All in all it was a lovely few days with special friends and we did all enjoy our stay. …
We have stayed here a few times and will be back next year! Apartment has everything you need, great location to beach, 1 minute walk and your there! Right by ferry also (you can be a foot or car passenger) to knoll beach, swanage beach. Ferry to Brown sea Island also. 5 min walk to cafe, shop, crazy golf and play park. Beaches amazing, never packed. Best time is evening, no one there, also see the ships pass by. Kids 8 and 4 loved it! So much to do and lots of time to relax! Another amazing holiday :) …

Family holiday 2018
What a treat to stay in such a lovely apartment, this made our Sandbanks holiday all the more enjoyable. We had been looking forward to our break and we weren't disappointed . …
Fantastic location for beach and ferry.
You know you are close to the beach when people are parking outside your holiday home to walk there with all their stuff. The beach was great as well, even when it wasn't the chain ferry and boats to Poole and Brownsea island were only 150yds away. The flat was well equiped but patience is needed to get all the apliances to work.
Sandbanks is a very expensive place to buy property and the local shops and restaurant reflect this but if you want sensible prices the pub is ok and the shops in Poole are fine.
The Good- Nearby Beach & Ferries, comfortable flat, easy parking,
The bad - Local shops, eating space in the flat (kitchen a little small) …

Fab weekend break
Booked for a weekend get together as we all live in different directions. Just lovely. As pictures, if not nicer. Owners so pleasant to deal with. We left a little item and she posted it back for us. Huge socialble kitchen and lounge space and a great hot tub. Also, helped us out with the parking. Would definitely use again. …
