Had a great 2 day break with my daughter and two dogs. The Stables were spotlessly clean, with a very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of outside space for the dogs to roam and the pigs at the bottom of the garden were very entertaining. I would highly recommend and would definitely like to return.

“Peaceful and Private”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2019

We stayed at The Stables for four nights with our seven month old Miniature Schnauzer. The purpose of our visit was to attend a family funeral, we were so pleased that we added a couple more nights to just relax and spend some time together. In fact, we were so relaxed and comfortable, that we only left the accommodation to find food. The Foresters was nearby and served good food at a reasonable price, and welcome dogs and well behaved owners. The Stables is, as the name suggests a converted stable block. It’s been done to a very high standard, attractive, a little quirky and very comfortable. Outside, under the grape vines, there’s a decking area and comfortable seating. Through a gate there’s a further grassed seating area, with wire fencing allowing a really good view of the pigs. The pigs were the stars of the show, hugely entertaining and an education. Colin was kind enough to answer lots of questions, they stole our hearts and almost came home with one You will be assured of a warm welcome at The Stables with everything you need amply provided. We thoroughly recommend this property and would love to stay again.
