“Beautiful surroundings friendly owners clean cosy accommodation” This is a lovely place to stay. The views are amazing and the cottage was clean and had everything you need, washing machine, microwave, DVD player. Owners very welcoming and even though cottage is close to the owners home you are left to it unless you need help with something. Recommend this cottage and location to couples, families anyone. We did the Dovedale trail (about 20minutes away) and the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath (about 40 minutes away) and there is lots more to do if you have the time. If you stay here you will not be disappointed.
“Excellent property in unique location” Just what we were looking for- peace & quiet with all modern comforts and nicely presented.
Good position to visit Peak District, Stoke on Trent & surrounding area.
“Lovely” We stayed at Beech Cottage for four nights and enjoyed days out to Ilam and Dove Dale stepping stones, Matlock Bath, Carsington Water and The Roaches. It was lovely to return each evening after scenic walks but with tired feet to the comfort and quiet of Beech Cottage, super clean and well equipped. Hosts Beth and Glyn could not be more friendly and helpful. A lovely comfortable cottage with allocated off road parking in front and views over the fields, we didn’t want to leave.
“A delightful get-away-from-it-all cottage that has been lovingly converted.” The Bakehouse is a delightful cottage with all that you need either provided or available nearby. I found a good farm shop nearby for some excellent food (Hungersheath Farm Shop and Tea-Rooms). The owners were very helpful throughout the booking process and my short stay - I wish them every success with their on-going plans for Camp Hill House - it will be marvellous!
“If you want to feel like home on vacation, you have to go The Stable.” I had a really great time here, very nice Cottage with all the comforts you need, beautiful landscape and overall the lovliest landlords I have ever met in Britain. If you go on holiday in the Black Country you have to go there!
“Summer Stay at Camp Hill” We had a great stay at Camp Hill. Cottage was well equipped and was in a lovely setting. We stayed as a base for going to Alton Towers which was a pleasant 45 minute drive and we managed to avoid traffic on every trip. The beds in particular were noteworthy as being comfortable and general good levels of facility. Very quiet and peaceful which was welcome. The provision of internet was a key factor for us and it really helped our holiday planning and general day-to-day life, i.e. having a Tesco home delivery on first day, planning trips etc etc. Good value also for a family break.
